Haven't heard that delineation, western vs. Cowboy, since about 1962. I was all day with my rancher uncle and heard it while we were at the local feedstore in rural Kansas. Repeated it to my sister that evening...unfortunately Mom overheard and washed my mouth out with soap ! My gratitude for reminding me of that quip ! Those lifts in Ron's boots are really major additions, probably 2 to 3 inches at least. You can actually see the edge of his foot, and the angle it's at, pressed against the side of the boots at 1-43. It looks like it's close to a 45-degree angle. It would be awkward and uncomfortable to walk with them I'd reckon.

the visible heels on the boots make him at least two inches "taller" which he definitely uses to aid his standard bullying schtick. This is a man who deliberately mispronounced Thai as "Thigh" at the restaurant on each first date. so he could test whether the date would correct him. He doesn't LIKE being corrected, so he would only want to continue a date if the woman let him keep saying it wrong. That is pathology.

Why do you think Hamas attacked Israel? t-rump put an embassy in Jerusalem and declared it belonged to Israel. So they took it to heart and kicked people out of their homes and put them on the streets. A great film to watch that explains it much better is "Praying for Armageddon".
