Sometimes our best investment ideas don’t work out despite our best intentions.
Why is the performance from ULTY so lackluster?

The problem with ULTY is its basic premise. By selling calls on the most volatile stocks, u cap the upside if those stocks really move up. Nav will just slowly bleed unless some is held back

I've been averaging down in FEPI and re investing. So far current share price is just above my average. I'm just under 55/share 450 shares, 2% a month divvy is plenty enough to buy protection long term.

Hello Panda, fortunately Ulty is not that salty for me. 300shares@19.1(paid $1.06) 300shares@18.6(paid $1.41) 400shares@13.91(paid$1.27)Limit order.I will add another 600 shares before the split, in the meantime I use the dividend to buy FEPI, Ymax or klip 😊

This is one of those funds that you keep at a minimum, personally I think they are trying to capture as much profit for share holders to attract investors, and every now then make calls on it to capture upside since this one, YM can control the out come and not let go in split mode. Granted if they do that expect a lower yield return for that month. And yes the God Father is all time classic.

Putting FA in front of ULTY was genius. Only you would think of something like that.. LoL. I have a few shares myself, not liking anything except the date they pay. BTW they did have gamestop shares during the Meme blow-up and we got nice upside that first day, but none the second. I'm sure they did something stupid to prevent ULTY from maximizing it's chance to recover share price. My working theory is the yieldmax team is much smaller than it should be, and that's why they struggle to make the right moves. The more funds they add the worse it will get.
