Buying of just any ETFs is easy, but buying the right one without a time-tested strategy is incredibly hard. Hence which is best to buy now or put on a watchlist? I’ve been trying to grow my portfolio of $200K for sometime now, my major challenge is not knowing the best entry and exit strategies.

Dividends are dope. Personally, I sometimes use my dividends to buy other bonds and growth stocks for diversification instead of reinvesting in the same stock. To each their own methods though. The good thing is that you’re investing in the first place and that’s what’s important. Salute for the content!

The best course of action if you lack market knowledge is to ask a consultant for guidance or assistance. Speaking with a consultant helped me stay afloat in the market and grow my portfolio to about 65% since 2023 January. I believe that is the most effective way to enter the business at the moment.

Is this a good time to invest in dividend stocks? I know some people and the video says one dividend investment has offered an exceptionally rare combination. it launched a little over two months ago, its share price is already up 16% as of the making of this video. Plus its dividend yield is an eye-popping 49.71%. but just how long will It take for us to recover, obviously there are strategies to maneuver in this present market but these strategies doesn't come common to the average folk, or am I better off putting my money elsewhere?

The uncertainties accompanying this present market is more reasons I have my daily investment decisions guided by a portfolio-coach seeing that their entire skillset is built around going long and short at the same time, both employing profit-oriented strategy and laying off risk as a hedge against the inevitable downtrends, coupled with the exclusive information/analysis, it's quite impossible not to outperform. You can buy the ETF and hedge the underlying stock. This can provide you some mitigation of downside risk. The one problem I have with dividend stocks is that the percentage (yield) may be high, but it is pennies on the dollar. Investing $10,000 would have netted you $41 in a month. That can be made with one semi-decent option trade. And, you own nothing so do not feel the downward pressure.

The APLY one does look enticing but you still lose $153 over the course of 3 months picking APLY over APPL. Quite poetically 11294/11447 is 0.986 which is very close to the 0.99% expense ratio of APLY.

This video is a great analysis as usual. I wish you would spend more time talking about the pros and cons of a cover call ETN/ETF strategy. Right now, whether you believe in a coming recession or not, sideways share price motion on the underlying asset of a covered call is corrosive to the ETF share price and sometimes, the dividends. Downward motion is really corrosive to both ETF share price and dividends, but, upward motion is something else entirely. I did extremely well with USOI during 2020-2022, but learned that lesson the hard way in 2023. Lucky for me the returns made up for any losses. Now that I know, I can only imagine what the YieldMax ETFs will do after a good, hard market correction and some upward motion off the bottom, especially for the dividends.Upward share price motion on Covered call ETNs and ETFs are always muted, compared to the underlying assets, but it is the dividends who are the hero in an upward market.

As soon as you say 'synthetic', it calls to mind another synthetic: synthetic CDO. As you rightly compare NVDA to the other covered call ETF's, all have a distinct shortcoming on their share price. Normally, if a stock goes up 10 and down 5, it's still up 5. Up 20 and down 5, still up 15, and so on. But with i.e., QYLD, (NDX) up 10 and down 5, is down 5. Up 20 down 5 is down 5, not up 15. They don't retain the up side, but do lock in the down side. Fluctuation is a killer even if bought at the bottom.. Also, I get your point, but you're not really placing your money on one company (@4:29), but rather some methodology that claims to be reflective of that company.

Here’s a weird and stupid question. When I invest in traditional stocks including EFTs of traditional stocks where the buy low and sell high strategy will get me some money. It’s simple and clear cut where at worst I only lose what I buy, no more and no less. Then there are the complex securities like shorts and those whose names seem to be made-up techno-babbles. So, if I buy $1 of such a security, under the traditional mindset of buy low sell high, thinking that when the “share price” is $2, I can sell the share and make a cool $1 in profit. However, because I don’t understand the beast, when this security’s price drops, I not only lose the original $1, but I am indebted for thousands or millions. Is it possible to get myself into this kind of situation when the security is purchased with a reputable brokerage houses like Schwab where I presume will warn me of such a possibility?

Sounds like they sell naked calls. So it does not make sense that their shares would drop if NVDA drops. If they don’t own the underlying, a drop in share price in NVDA should not affect their performance. You want share price to stay the same or drop if selling naked calls. And selling naked calls means potential unlimited loss of NVDA pumps like they did after their last earnings. Something does not make sense here.

This is no different than just getting lucky on a good stock pick. I mean, why not just take that $10k and buy NVDA directly and be at 30k? These monthly dividends are simply the result of riding an appreciating asset, and a highly unstable one at that. The asset cannot appreciate indefinitely. One thing is for sure, YieldMax is getting rich off the greed of others by crapping out these mediocre products, and they should.
