The only thing the other racks have over this one is the colored side panels you can get with up top but the windscreen on it looks terrible

@@AFGixxeR88 True. At the end of the day though those floofy colors are just added marginal weight and weren't for me or something I was interested in. Hopefully we see some great new stuff from UpTop soon!

@@AFGixxeR88 Exactly haha and yeah I film everything on my iPhone13 Pro hopefully I'll get a better one next year. But I'm not one to just get all the coolest camera gear because make videos. What I'm doing works for now!

Sweet rig! Have you looked at the RCI rack. Same rubber mounting, but I like their front fairing. Conforms to the windshield and roof line and no bolts across the middle.

I have not but I also am not sure if RCI had that rack out when I got mine. Sherpa was the only one doing it back a few years. I honestly like the Sherpa look more on the fairing - though RCI is VERY flush. I do have an RCI bed rack and their products are solid.

The zero silicone alternative needs to have more exposure… I was looking at a Prinsu roof rack before but that alone is making me reconsider

Seriously! I knew that if I got a roof rack it was not going to be with silicone... I think to my knowledge Sherpa is the only one doing this right now but it is a matter of time before others catch on!

Hi thanks for the video! Quick question which awning brackets are you using for that low profile look? 🙏🏻 I sold my prinsu for this rack. I was planning on trying these awning mounts before buying new ones.

Yep they make all their own accessory mounts as well and just as strong!

Hey there. It does looks good but do you hear a little wind noise? It looks like with that gap in the front, that you would? Also, what type of mount is that on your dash? Expedition Essentials or a Ram Mount brand?

No wind noise what so ever , never have. You do actually want a gap if there was no gap at all you would get wind noise. "Science" haha. Yes it the Expedition Essentials track system and a Ram Ball mount for cell phone and radio.

It does not I see a lot of people running these with a topper but they also make a short stubby one specifically for that called the Animas Rack - sherpaec.com/products/animas

1. Great info 2. Music waaay to loud. Needs to be 50% quiter. 3. Dont ever stand on the road to film especially on a turn like that

I'm watching on home A/V system, not just the phone. I hear your voice mostly, some wind noise and music background. It's nothing too distracting, that kinda goes with recording in a beautiful place on a beautiful day! Video quality (most important imo) is fantastic 👍
