JBL also known as John Bradshaw Layfield has had a long and varied wrestling career with WWE including as part of the beloved Attitude Era APA tag team alongside Farooq, and later hated as WWE Champion. But it wasn't just wrestling fans who hated JBL, as he allegedly caused misery to his fellow WWE superstars backstage. In this wrestling documentary we will take a look at why many consider JBL to be one of the most hated men in wrestling.

JBL is a piece of shit, but there is no evidence that Vince even knew about JBL's antics. Sure, he may have heard something but look how big the roster is. Vince worked 16 hour days every day doing hundreds of tasks. Do you really think he concerned himself with every individual talent? If anything that task would have fallen to JR, at least at the time most of JBL's bullying was at it's worst. Blaming Vince is pretty stupid, and we both know you have no way to know if what you said is true.

I stopped watching Smackdown when he became champ. I'm ok with Eddie losing the belt but to HIM?! I never understood what Vince saw in him. He's an above average talker that was rocketed into the main event scene after being mid card forever. Even Taker jobbed to him when a few months prior that would be seen as a laughable notion. I just never accepted him as a main eventer and I didn't even know about half the behind the scenes stuff. The best part of his existence in WWE was the greatest line in wrestling history; "the only reason your champ is because HHH doesn't want to work Tuesdays." The JBL sells the line like a total goof but in reality it was the 100% truth.

I feel like the Hardy's beer bottle road sign thing would have been a set up. JBL would have then gone back to the other guys and worked them, "these fucking pair of kids are green and they're drinking and driving and throwing beer bottles at road signs! I don't think I could trust being in a car with them!" And then Jim Ross or Prichard or someone would have had to have gotten involved to clarify the full story, just causing it then grief. I don't care, admitting you didn't drink and drive and throw up beer bottles out the window seemed like the right decision to me.

JBL is still one of my favorite heels and underrated as well but he is definitely a horrible person. Given that he is close to Vince McMahon who is just as horrible of course he’s gonna get away with it. @@dmercy8477 I know the promo you're referring to Dmercy but if you get a chance to stumble upon an interview of The Miz or any other WWE wrestler that was held outside of WWE they will either say Chris Benoit or somebody who will not be named (because again they really do not want to promote Benoit's name and they really shouldn't) they just wanted to address the fact that some of us fans have seen Miz changing into his ring gear in public areas and wanted to show how far Miz has come from point a to point b. @LadyAstarionAncunin
@LadyAstarionAncunin Жыл бұрын
The ones not giving men sympathy is other men. Whenever women hear about this stuff, they get angry on behalf of men. I've seen it every single time. I have two male friends who've been repeatedly s/exually assaulted by other men, and every time they've told me, I've been angry and feeling like I want to fight. When I asked them what they did, they said they didn't do anything to the men who assaulted them; they just left or moved or something. Maybe if men cared more about assault and recognized it for what it is and had sympathy for other men who go through it, something could be done about it. I think men tend to minimize it or laugh it off because it's easier than accepting they've been violated. If they accept they've been violated and say it, most men will embarrass them.

In the attitude era, it is difficult not to associate Bradshaw with Farooq in their Acolytes duo, badass looks, badass titantron, they are almost like Arnie and Carl Weathers. Love them, my most memorable event is when Crash Holly hired APA to protect his belt. Of course, they almost botched it. But then Bradshaw become JBL, and Vince being weird boomer that he is, thought an arrogant insufferable Texan billionaire could somehow be a "face". I read that JBL was Bradshaw's closer persona as a real life successful stock trader. Rene Dupree probably had it on point. JBL had that insecurity that he want to vent out.

I can recall going to a WWE live show in Waco, TX 2008 back when JBL was feuding with Finley and Hornswoggle. JBL came to the ring first, took a mic and immediately began insulting the fans. First stating that the arena the show was taking place in was full of nothing but illegal aliens from Mexico and that the only things Waco was known for was a crappy college football team and David koresh. I think he was booed and cursed out the entire match and the cheers were extremely loud when he was hit with a trash can since it was an extreme rules match. I remember thinking he’s got a be a real ass outside of wrestling but one thing for sure he knows how to play a really good heel
