I think it has to do with her agressive vocal style. It's very easy to go just a little bit too loud and lock or harden your stomach/abs. Which hurts your stamina a LOT.

justin rodriguez i could not agree with this comment anymore. Her undeniable vocal talent is superb, but as far as how she sounds? Majority of the time i hear her singing it like makes me cringe. Especially when she’s closer to the upper belts, she sounds nasally, pushed, squeezed, and like a forced chesty projection. This is just my subjective opinion however.

Well, tone is subjective, and everybody is entitled to their opinion, so it's okay. Her tone doesn't need to be liked by everyone, but everyone should know that she is amazing. :)

Her head voice has definitely come very far. Especially this year, she's far more consistent now with it and has come really comfortable with it.

I wouldnt say jojo have a consistently great voice. Her voice itself often gets fatigue easily, at her good days she can sing very well, but she has many bad days too. She can barely belt any decent D5 and her headvoice just wouldnt come out. Although Ariana grande has horrible technique, but shes more consistent delivering good performances. Tori kelly as well. Demi often hurts her voice.

Reino Yu that doesn't suddenly mean Ari is better now than Jojo. You can't blame people like her for being easily sick & get fatigue, that's not fair. That's like saying Sohyang is very pitchy & always has horrible tongue tension just bcuz she can easily get sick & tired just like her. Or saying that Mariah wasn't consistent above Eb5 in her prime eventho she has nodules that made her harder to support higher. Ari might have more "good" performances but all of them still delivered with merely below average & horrible technique. Jojo with her condition is still considered consistent. Don't treat all of them the same. They've different conditions & we all should see how well they managed to sing with proper technique in each individual's issues. Everything NEEDS a context.

Obviously, Jojo is a far better vocalist than ariana has ever been. But Jojo isn’t consistent, Ariana is more consistent live, but her singing technique is rather average.
