It’s a combat sport. Do you realize you are saying just a little pushing and shoving is inappropriate? Wrestlers are the toughest people out there but the fans are so damn sensitive. Nothing inappropriate happened in this match. Mitchell held on to legs too long, JB shoved his head. Big deal

Let’s not turn this into something bigger than it needs to be. It’s physicality on Mitchell’s part and JB was just sticking up for himself. I’m a PSU fan and I loved every part of this. Mitchell in some ways got a win just by getting under JB’s skin and made it a match worth watching. Let’s also not act like it’s not ok for the hometown crowd to boo the opponent folks. It’s ok to have drama in wrestling.

@HighPleasure let me guess Penn St fan? How exactly did Zahid go on the clock after pushing pace and holding center all first period then doing it again beginning of second period and taking repeated shots then moments later being put on the clock? Where was the singlet grab that ended the match? What a joke. How about the push out the ref impeded movement causing zahid to fall then the ref acted like he did nothing and made the wrong call that was overridden. The whole match was bullshit and dominated by Zahid. I had no favorite in that match I just hate seeing a F job.
@HighPleasure
@HighPleasure 4 ай бұрын
@@fiddynutz68 I'll try logic even though I'm not sure if you have any. First off learn wrestling being on the clock is about not scoring not action. Secondly neither one of them scored or was doing much first period and Brooks got put on the clock first. So what are you complaining about?? Zahid was put on the second period because yet again he hadnt scored and its about scoring and evening it up 1 a peice for both. Next the singlet grab your right I didn't see it and neither did you. Because the broadcast's camera was directly behind Brooks you genius. But I have reasoning abilities that make me believe Zhahid was guilty of it because he threw the challenge brick back to his corner. Do you think you know more then Zhahid does? Plz explain how you know more about wrestling and what he did more then he does. Next how was the whole match dominated by Zhahid when the first period ended 0-1 with the only point coming from being put on the clock. Which part of the word whole don't you understand even just by analizing the first period? Brooks had the best shot and scoring opportunity with his double late that should of gotten 1 point it was white paneled away. Look I'm with you on the ref getting in the way sucks. You have to make a judgement call if that effected the outcome. I think Brooks completes that takedown either way but the 2 points from Brooks were removed and he only got 1 for the step out so yet again what are you complaining about? There is no way Zahid stays in bounds if the ref isn't there. That is mine to complain about, but you just like complaining so much more then me. Next Zahid gets 5 points from a feet to back takedown and lost challenge which I think was a terrible call. Where is the control before they are both out of bounds? Its a close call that also went in Zahids favor. Notice how everything so far is all going in his favor. What are you complaining about again? It looks to me Brooks controlled center more but I'm not going to watch it with a stopwatch in hand to find out plus that is irrelevant. So Zahid had 1 controversial feet to back out of bounds that got him 5 points plus the 1 when Brooks was on the clock and couldnt score. SO he had 1 offensive scoring move the whole match. How is that dominated? I'm sorry you dont agree with me that's ok. Zahid did less, got more calls to go his way, is a way worse wrestler then Brooks, gasses out every match he is in, and the only controversy would of been if Brooks didn't win. That is my none biased opinion.

Just now got a chance to watch the match. You know I am a ref now and don't coach anymore Christian. So, as for the moment in question, I absolutely can't stand it when kids don't stop when I blow the whistle. In fact, I have started calling "unsportsmanlike" when this happens. #1 answer provided by kids are, " I didn't hear it. Horse$hit. They ALWAYS hear the single whistle blow starting action but don't hear the multi-blow whistle stopping action? Plus, after you nail them with the P1, it never happens again. Then, Burroughs could have been hit with a P1 for the retaliation. I think the ref did everything within his power to control this match except for calling passivity on Burroughs throughout the match. I don't understand these freestlye refs. What they consider passivity boggles my mind. They call it in the worse situations and don't call it when someone is clearly stalling.

Total disrespect by Penn State. No class whatsoever. Cael comes off like him and his wrestlers a class guys. Nothing further from the truth. Mesenbrink is a "Punk" plain & simple who got rolled up by an old man. Most Penn state wrestler with the exception of Taylor & Brooks, act and make comments like they walk on water. Every Penn State athletic program should have been eliminated after the Jerry Sandusky crimes. Now people act like Penn State are saint's. They ain't !

I honestly think Jordan would get booed at any venue or event, at this point, because of his demeanor the last couple years. When your ego is too big, much greater than average people, and you actually talk about your own greatness, that's the line between great and actual great. He's been great for team USA and the sport, in general,but the last couple years wanting the fans and everyone else to yell He's "arguably the greatest", man, 35 yrs old, and not growing into that position, oh boy. I'm not going to mention the difference in macro or micro tactics, but talking about utilizing a fellow competitors apparent injury is never cool in competition, especially at the amateur level in wrestling, wtf.

Don’t be so sensitive, it’s a combat sport. You do realize that all he did was hold on to a leg after the whistle blew right? Or took the side of the circle JB was on so he’d have to walk around? That’s not dirty and enough of your BS with judging the character of these guys. Are you really saying he’s a dirty wrestler for that? Grow the hell up. They aren’t bad people for playing mind games on the mat. It’s mind blowing that you’d judge the character of someone over a simple match like that. Just continue to be butthurt that PSU is the most elite program in the country…I’m sure Carl is losing sleep over what you think of the program
