I feel stabilizer muscles in my back when deadlifting but mostly its all glutes and hamstring. I also think its how i focus on it more so a push from the heels than a pull from the back. That is a weird way to explain it but more push than pull haha

I got dumbbells in the mail once. I heard the UPS guy drop them at my doorstep while in my basement blaring music and working out. It was also 100F out, and the poor UPS guy was sweating buckets.

don’t think anyone do deadlifts to look like a badass(maybe it’s just you). Deadlifts,squat and bench are like a measurement to see your progress. You don’t need squat and bench for big chest and leg but everyone still do them because they wanna see progress.

When I would do back and biceps I always did Biceps first so that when you are doing those back exercises that tend to make you use your biceps like the one Juji and Tom talked about where you use more bicep at the top but by making your biceps tired and with the best form you can manage you will recruit more back muscle fibers

Fair point guys :) I personally quit flat bench to do overhead press due to shoulder issues. I still get people asking me how much I bench to measure my strenght and I just dont know anymore. Heavy dumbells just dont seem that impressive to people for some reason. Specific strenght is cool and freaky :)

I can say for myself and thousands of others that we want to see you bodybuild! We want to see you fully commit to this diet and training and look as good as you possibly can for this show and succeed. Preparing for a show is one of the hardest things you could do, so don't worry about doing these big lifts for low reps that aren't gonna help you grow. We wanna see high intensity, john meadows style training with drop sets high intensity techniques and really see you get serious. You'll have an even better physique for your dedication and even more people happy to be following you. And if you really wanna still do a deadlift variation try rack pulls and start the movement by engaging your lats and flexing at the top! Much love kill this show man!

I've been doing weighted neutral grip chins in the place of deadlifting for the past ~year or so and i think its definitely been beneficial since i recover from them super fast while getting a huge lat focus.
