One good thing about Ten Hag is he trusts and he knows how to handle young players. Rasmus, Garnacho, Mainoo. Kambwala is going to be next. Hopefully, Amad will come through as well.

It's my sincere prayer that our great Manchester United Fc invests more in players below the age of 25, moreso the unknown great quality yet to be tapped. We don't need to bring in big named superstars because apart from King Ibra (Zlatan Ibramovich) they have contributed to zilch/nada/nothing worth their names & statue in helping Manchester United Fc win the league which used to be our forte under the master tactician Sir Alex Ferguson era. I have been watching the under 18 team and there is raw quality talent at Carrington that needs to be harnessed and the outcome will be Old Trafford regaining it's stature as The Red Fortress it one was not soo long ago. Our academy should be another source of income for our beloved club by selling quality youngsters for good money, something in the region of £15M - £20M for those who graduate but unfortunately aren't able to make high graded cut and qualify for senior team duties. This will be very beneficial to the club as it will place it in a position to attract young and emerging top drawer quality talent both within Britain and overseas too. I say this because Manchester United Fc academy has the potential, ability and thus very much capable indeed. #GGMU

I like the fact that he is so calm he don't panic and I think ten haag is taking the same steps he took with kobie last season make him hungry for next season

Hi AJ. I have been a Manchester United fan since 1995 and it's Andrei Kanchelskis & Andrew Cole who attracted me to support this wonderful club. I am also a big fan of AJ analysis and I truly appreciate your rich football knowledge as well as your intellectual in-depth analysis of Manchester United Fc play & players. Thank you for a job you doing wonderfully. I always catch up with your analysis from 254, Area32, (i.e>254=Kenya's international dial code, Area32 = NAKURU county number, so 254 Area32 means, KENYA, NAKURU city). Back to football matters. I have noticed an irritating new trend with our team. This is, our players tend to slow down their intensity and press whenever we score and this gives our opponents the confidence to organise and intensify their attacks against us. Is this a tactical manoeuvre by our team? If so, what is it's objective? Another annoyance emanates from RUSHFORD's attitude to pressing. He tends not to engage/commit like RASMUS. Is it due to his wages that is cultivating a superstar feel in him? Trust me, Sir Alex would've never tolareted this type of conduct in his all conquering dressing room set up. I also feel we need a new, young & unknown No10. Bruno Fernandes seems to be running out of steam lately. And definitely he ain't a Manchester United Fc captain material. Maybe consider him at Shaw's position. Or move Dalot to left & Kambwala takes right wing. For few minutes can be tried. Players as Gore, Kambwala, Amad, Bayindir need to be given more chances. Develop bench strength.

What are your thoughts on signing Jarrad Branthwaite and potentially having him cover at LB (as well as CB) at times with Shaw's recent injury issues?

I was curious how far in his development he is because if recruitment are brave enough, they could let go of every other centre back besides Martinez & Kambwala which helps with FFP, & bring in two younger two footed centre backs (Todibo & Branthwaite) to compete to be Martinez's partner/cover when he's injured. Kambwala would be 4th choice but have a decent shot at game time

just think abt the wages we would be saving if we let go if varane, maguire and casemiro (almost a mil a week). i hope they make good decisions in the summer

Typically we make 4 a season, 5 if we're lucky but this time around we probably need to make 6 minimum (two centre backs, right back because it looks like AWB wants to leave, 2 midfielders if Casemiro and Mctominay leave and probably a versatile forward who can play up top of wide right)

the defence is gonna need revolutionising next year. in the next year we could see the exit of any of Lindelof, maguire, varane and evans. So kambwala will defo see game time in the next year. If we do want to go with cbs that can carry the ball in deep and fire a pass, hes an excellent choice to nurture. People saying hes like lindelof, and maybe as a 3rd/4th choice, but as a player, i think hes more to wt what we thought maguire was, but with more pace. Exciting player.

I know this is completely off topic but I was thinking about Kobbie Mainoo. What do you think his ceiling is in a system like ours? Ideally, I'd love to see him play in a side that aren't as transitional as we are and instead play a more controlled possession-based game like City or Arsenal. Does this transitional approach lower his potential ceiling? His skillset can't be utilised to the max in a system like ours.

Obviously if we aren't performing at our best, his ceiling will be compromised. I think atleast one of Bruno or Casemiro need to be replaced from the starting line-up next season because both have that transition football mentality. I really don't think I am over-exaggerating if I say that he is so good that we could build a team around him. I hope we get a ball playing technical DM who knows defending and not the other way around. This with a elite CB beside Licha, a two footed winger (and ofc some outgoings) are enough for ETH to implement his possession style from next season. Kobbie will thrive if we make changes keeping him in and his ability in mind.

I hope INEOS have a decent plan for him. Else, he will end up going out on loan and sold for a 7-8M fee later. None the less, we need 2 of our CBs to leave and 2 to come in. I think Maguire is a must go even though he has done really well and Evans only has a short contract (as both of them are style-wise very different). Uk, elite teams have forwards of different profiles so that they can be more creative and versatile upfront but the CBs profile needs to be consistent as the defence should be stable. That's why, Harry and Evans should leave. Lindelof is good enough to be a back-up option (like Nacho at Madrid). If we get the CBs signings right, I feel that we would comfortably be at the level to atleast get into top 4 next season. We need to see more of Kambwala though as if he earns ETH's trust, we could save another 35-40M by going for just 1 elite CB instead of 2. Our academy has the potential to solve our problems. We have literally saved 80-100M as we have Kobbie. Let's hope Kambwala turns out to be the same (not a starter but like Quansah at Liverpool).

I think he is a great player for 19 years old and I know I just have 1 game as a sample size which is why I hope we get to see more game time for him, hopefully against fulham we can get 3 early goals or a dominant performance so ETH feels confident to put in the players like Kambwala, Amad, forson and give them sufficient game time!!!
