What is lighter music, chingari koi bhadke, o majhi re, manzile apni jagah, aisi haseen chandni, aapki aankhon main kuch lists r very vast since 1948 no one can sing energetic , funny, sad, romantic, pop, rock, all modern songs carried forward by him only. Mohd rafi ji n other singers were there but all music directors wanted only kishore da to sing, rafi ji sangs typical old model songs only in 70's he was very limited scope in that period as kishore da, became lead singer in that time period

Kishore da was very versatile n best male playback till date his voice was so fresh n modern that till today we can feel that. He sings all type of songs it is his respect for mohd rafi ji who was 6 years older n senior than him. He was genius only singing, acting music composing. Also he was director, producer, story writer, lyricist. A complete artist that india has ever produced

He was trained there was no Geniusness to sing such songs whatever kishore da introduced yodeling n developed his own style that why before his name film industry called him genius n most versatile singer not before mohd rafi's name.

Like other songs mentioned in the video, this song too was like a cup of Tea for Kishore Da. It was the tremendous Love and respect Kishore Da had for Rafi Saab, that made him recommend Rafi Saab for the song. Even the Qawwali 'Haal Kya Hai Dilon Ka Na Poocho Sanam' was also sung with unmatched finesse by Kishore Da. When Kishore Da kept insisting Rafi Saab should sing the song, Rajesh Khanna had winked Laxmikant Pyarelal and stated that if Kishore Da won't sing this song, they will have to scrap the song, only then Kishore Da had to accept the song. This was revealed by Pyaralal Ji himself in an interview. Kishore Kumar and Rafi Saab, both were Musical God's. Even Gods have different qualities and attributes. Not just their Greatness, but their Friendship too is incomparable.

@@russelindia Songs were lighter for Rafi Saab also once Music was changed after Teesri Manzil (1966) by Shankar Jaikishan. Modern Music overtook Old era Classically bent songs. Same lighter music was given to Rafi Saab also by all Music Directors, Kishore Kumar was no exception. 70's onwards singers like Manna De and Music Directors like Naushad had lost their classical Mojo. It was a level playing field for all singers co-existing in the same era (including classically trained singers of the highest pedigree), where Kishore Kumar excelled like no other.
