Yeah Kira did the same. Both had a lot of free time doing nothing especially L who had to wait for the next batch of evidence.

@Juliusmankey they both had free time because they work so fast, but it's arguable who works faster, but it's likely end series Light since he was rivaling L with less experience, then later gains expansion post L death

Emotional perception is just telling what emotions people are feeling. So for example, L getting the feeling that Light was faking the whole magazine thing is an emotional perception feat. Management is also mostly keeping yourself calm or inducing emotions onto yourself, so acting like a different person really well isn't really as good of a showcase of EM as L staying calm after knowing his own death was coming.

The last feat doubles as intuition, since logically L had no way of knowing that he was about to die, yet could still tell somehow and then manage his reaction to that information

I will always die on the hill that BB was VERY capable of getting away with everything, he chose to leave behind stuff that could point towards him as a means to tease L and show that he is superior. He could’ve left nothing behind and made himself completely untraceable if not for the fact that he also directly “investigated” his OWN CASE 😭

You legit just miss the whole point of why BB needed to do that in the first place. Misora was in fact capable of solving the case alone, the problem is that she needs more time to actually do that and BB can't have that bc his challenge or puzzle for L requires him to act on specific times that he had planned it to. BB also had to misdirect Misora a lot of times bc she was so close to actually solving the the lock room puzzle. Yes BB was giving her clues but he was also trying to misdirect her at the same time. It was also stated by BB himself that Misora could've solved the case if she just had more time to actually solve it. Also it's pretty much obvious that L knew from the very beginning what BB was trying to do.

Fr tho, if Ryuk and Rem actually just stayed neutral Light wouldn't have made it so far. Deathnote is definitely op but even aside from that, the Shinigami was quite literally in his side. Ryuk decided to tell Light about the fact that someone was investigating him from the very beginning of the show. There's also the whole cctv situation where Ryuk legit told Light the exact position and numbers of it, and it's not like Light had made a genius move that made Ryuk do that for him, Ryuk just decided he to tell Light for funsies.

@@jordanpatterson8536 L is far superior to Near and Mello. Near figured things out about the case due to plot convenience. They're both working with the knowledge of what L had built upon up until his death. If Light wouldn't have become so arrogant and overly trusted Mikami he would have never been caught. Light underestimated Near and Mello because even he knew they were nothing compared to L.

Even then you could see how quickly L avnd efficiently L could solve a case when he has a worthy proxy like Naomi Misora working with him. L and Naomi would of evened the playing field versus Light(Kira) and Misa(the second Kira.) L was truly the world's greatest detective. L's monitor feat is impressive even by real world standards. L versus B, The Wara Ningo Murders or L.A B.B Murder Cases was avgreat novel. Death Note Another Note the L.A B.B Murders is a great death note light novel that also shows not only L's intelligence but Misora Naomi's as well.
