VSI should go to Yuuichi imo. Cuz of 2 reasons. 1.) Phone call feat in Friend Sin Trial: Through an extremely short phone call, Yuuichi already managed to figure out who was lying by finding out Shibe's type and applying it 2.) Jamming gun feat in Friendless Game: Yuuichi managed to jam the gun that was gonna be used against him by Shinji. U could say that jamming a gun isn't that hard, and u would be right. But Shinji is a trained hitman. He of all people should be able to tell if a gun is jammed and would explode on him.

1st feat has nothing to do with VSI and is more WMI if anything. The thing is that Shinji was emotionally conflicted at that point he admitted to not being aware of the gun being tampered with. Still pretty weak compared to Light’s mental map out of the 64 camera orientations + locations and his subway feat.

Emotional engagement goes to Yuuichi. Imagine a 10 year having just killed the only people who you care about and still carryingonwith life. Yuuichi also had to keep himself motivated enough to work multiple jobs to pay for his own education.

Eh, Light facilitating and regulating his disgust at the current state of the world to consistently perform murders everyday is far better in EE. We even see how conflicted and mentally traumatizing it was to even kill someone he didn’t know that he was losing his mind, sleep, and weight. Yet still managed to keep up with his studies and later engage in a battle of wits against L.

Could L solve the Sadako Murders? Basically with the scenario from 1998’s Ringu (or Ring) could L A. Solve the case and deduce Sadako is an Onryō performing these supernatural killings B. Somehow figure out about the “you must copy the tape to avoid being killed” rule, which the investigators in the movie failed to find out about and got one of them killed L would effectively have infinite time to prep/investigate until he finds and watches the tape. Then he has only 7 days.

So in fsiq, VSI should go to Yuuichi imo due to the Phone call feat in sin-trial. The 64 cameras feat was good but without ryuk's help light wouldnt have been able to do a lot of the things he did. PSI too (you didnt talk about this cat) because of Yuuichi's ability to quickly process information and create quick plans. That adds to his formulation speed in planning/strategy

Ryuk only tells where the cameras are located and facing. Ryuk even said he will only tell Light once. All of it will be up to Light, as he needs to visualize where the projectiles are and constantly remember it over five days. Light immediately has a plan to cover his killing actions with potato chips. That's PSI, VSI, WMI by Light on the same day

Light doesn’t just use the death not brainlessly. Any retarded person like you who would get the death note would be caught in a week. Light is very smart and always 1 step ahead . He also used two girls and many other to do his dirty work while he lost his memory , predicting exactly what would happen whilst his memories were gone and picked up right where he left off.

Weak argument, as light still had to come up with the strategies. And he only used the death note to kill criminals and sometimes for his plans. But he was able to foresee everything that would happen in the L isolation feat and Memory loss plan

If Yuuichi had the death note from the beginning I don't think he would use it. It just doesn't seem like something he would do. His MO is more like fighting people on fair grounds (Or him being at a disadvantage) and thrashing them. At worst he'd probably use it as a last resort if he had no other way to save his friends In a TG Light would demolish L imo. L might be able to decipher and see through all of Light's plans and the winning strategies, but L is not good at communication skills, which Light excels at. Tomodachi Game is a game of friends, and usually requires the gaining of support from strangers, such as the Friend's Prison, Friend's Murder, and Friendless Game. L being the introvert that he is may not be able to gain support (This is assuming that none of the ppl who know who L and Light are r playing as well) nearly as well as Light

There was a translation error in the guide book. The reason knowledge goes to Light is because he was a perfect student in every field. While L is just a detective. I’m sure if L actually went to school, his knowledge would far surpass any normal human

Great vid Avent while I think this matchup is closer than most in FS & NFS I agree Light takes it i would put Yuuichi above characters like BB, Near, Mello, Takuya, Yumeko, Kirari, Johan etc pretty much all the mid tiers besides Light, L, Ayanokoji, & Lelouch in purely outsmarting.

The author has never said Light is smarter than L. If you are referring to the data book where Light has a 9 intelligence stat, that's a English mistranslation. What it actually said is knowledge not intelligence. L is similar to Sherlock in that he hyper focuses on knowledge related to his work while Light was an academy student who studied things outside of crime and law enforcement. The author directly says L was smarter because he had to be.

Babe wake up, Avent finally pitted Light against Yuuichi! Been waiting on this video for a long time. Yuuichi surpasses Light by a longshot. He is a master manipulator. I read up to around chapter 102 or so. I hope we get season Season 2 to at least cover the Prison Arc and Casino arc. I doubt they'd be able to squeeze in the Island arc into second 2 unless they did a second cour.

in my opinion some of the examples brought up aren't fair because the death note is supernatural and can make people do things, which gives light an advantage, so in my opinion, it'd be unfair to give light the death note unless all the manipulation he does is strictly with the death note, just my opinion feel free to correct me if i'm wrong

It quite literally is, this same trick completely destroyed L’s chance of convicting Light and also prevented the task force from destroying the notebook and retaining his memories. It’s a brilliant play of logical manipulation and deception.

Nobody would ever thought to create fake rules because nobody could’ve set up conditions for the fake rule to even work in the first place. Keep in mind the fake rule would’ve only been effective if Light was in confinement for longer than 13 days and if L found it after that length of time.

Kira was only possible to be caught in the first place because Kira was Light. It has nothing to do with intelligence. There’s a reason why “C Kira” and “A Kira” were far impossible to catch than Light. No one is going to claim these guys are remotely close to Light.

He's good at strategy but Lights strategy to get Raye Penbars name and have him get rid of FBI agents names are better. As well as his strategies displayed during Light vs L arc, etc. Yuuichi takes Manipulation and some EQ, strategy is debatable. Explain to me your reasoning as to why he wins.
