What if we cant get Frimpong, what are some other elite attacking or high potential right wing backs. I think with Olise likely to come in and diallo coming into his own, both being technical creative players they could both benefit from support from an attacking right back that can at times be wingers with olise/diallo in that right side attacking midfield position.

I do agree that frimpong is class but I don't think united should sign him or dumfries. I think united should go for geertruida from feyenoord. I believe he's a younger and cheaper alternate to both frimpong and dumfries. He's also versatile, being able to play at rb, cb, lb and cdm and is also good going forward. At 23, he can still improve and become even better.

Personally it’s a no for me unless we're shifting to a back three to accommodate his awareness at the back post and also height then there's no need to sign frimpong,too many things have to go right for him to work. That's too much work for others, If you consistently watch Leverkusen you'd see it. They always have someone covering the position for him either the DM or the RCB causing the defensive line to stretch with the RCBhaving to fill. In this United team and PL where crosses are rampant its a no no,and I know you talked about most of these in the video but alot really has to go right for frimpong to work,I’m a huge fan of dezerbi and I don’t see how having him as our RB would work even tho it’s more like a RM or RWB

You are completely ignoring the fact we've just been taken over and have Berrada, Ashworth and Wilcox all appointed. The club is not going backwards at all. Top level players will still come to United, we finished 3rd last season

The other one being that he needs to handle egos at a top club and he needs to have a winning mentality.. Just playing good football wont win titles and trophies that top clubs demand

Not really. Tactical set up and player development is 90%. The whole deal with pressure thing is far overblown. If you’re wining games you can deal with pressure. It’s when you’re not winning where it becomes an issue

If that happens in United the press would have a full gear bashing on the manager. Sorry, but the guy doesn't seem like a serial winner to me. Staunchly disagree with Frimpong being a good target. This is the vicious cycle of poor transfers continued. Stick with AWB, this guy is just buying a shiny object that just seems better than what we have. Frimpong CANNOT play fullback or we will immediately be hearing the narrative of how he is defensively inept. Not too different than how AWB gets a magical narrative of not being good enough offensively(which isn't even true). Stop spending money on positions that we already have. In most cases the struggles of players is down to a failure of having complementary players. Frimpong's style of play would isolate him for criticism even more than AWB.

Mate this completely wrong. 1. AWB is completely the opposite type of player to Frimpong. It’s not a new shiny object it’s a completely different player all together. From that you need to revise your opinion because Frimpong and AWB aren’t even the same player and Frimpong is far superior

@@AtlantisFootball that is my point. They are different. One is not at all better than the other. They are in two different systems where their skillsets do not overlap. Frimpong is not tasked with the same role as a fullback such as AWB. One cannot say apples are superior to oranges. One cannot do what the other can. Frimpong has shown out as a wingback in a system he is tasked more with maintaining width and exploiting defensive rotation; he is not tasked with being the outside defender of a back-four with prime responsibility for the opposition's outside forward...his offensive contributions coicincide with a part of the field a fullback can attack but that is without any of the same defensive responsibility thereby rendering a comparison loaded.
