Arsenal wanted Zubamendi last January transfer window as well when his release clause was €51 Million, but he rejected & said he won't leave Sociodad in the middle of a season. Most probably the same is gonna happen this time around. But in the Summer it might become a fight between Bayern, Barca & Arsenal for his Services. Bayern could get him with the allure of a guaranteed Bundeliga medal & Champions league games. Barca seems like the odd one out in this race in terms that they will struggle to meet the release clause & may try & go for Jorginho in the Summer for free or cheap as they are similar in playstyle minus the Physicality & speed on Jorginho's side. But Zubamendi will definitely playstyle wise be great fit for Barca. Arsenal have some added advantages that they have been trying to get Zubamendi for the longest out of the 3 clubs with Arteta being Spanish will help him with the settling-in process & he has played with Odegaard when he was on loan to Sociodad & now is a captain at Arsenal & that familiarity could be a slight edge for Arsenal.

this kid is an 8\6 hybrid , but he's not a defensive midfielder. he's an all phase 8 , that can be the deep lying play maker. you pair him with an athletic ball winner

Odegaard played alongside him, Rice Zubi partnership will be massive both very good at counter-press and both won most interception in europe. Arsenal offered him twice the current salary.
