I don't know if Wink is as good a play caller as McDonald and Minter are, but he was the right man for the job because of his knowledge of the system, and the system is something Michigan cannot afford to lose.

The Michigan/ OSU game this year is going to be interesting to see. Will OSU's $13+ million in player retention payments and pay for play transfers be enough to break their 3 game losing streak? Will the Wink and Clink D shut down the Buckeyes?

Just like past years… Blowhio Suckeyes are loaded with 5 stars and talent… But the difference is Michigan straight outworks them, has more heart, grit, and power… Can’t say enough about our blue collar hard working mentality! Like to see UM steal Gregg Scruggs, current WI D-line coach and NFL 5-year lineman, with 2 Super Bowl rings. Did I say he’s a Cincy, OH native, ,coached the UC Bearcats and is an experienced college DEF recruiter in the Midwest?

18 4 stars last season 14 of those are early enrollees. 8 practiced with the team through the Rose and Champ game. UofM returns 94% of their defense. UofM is deep with players that want to be there, not chasing the largest bag with an ego to match.

If everyone stay's put Michigan has 4 legit All American possibilities on defense....Will Johnson-Mason Graham-Kenneth Grant and Rod Moore. The defense should be just fine. 10 starters gone on offense.....that is where the question's are....especially under center.

UofM was 3 deep along the oline last season, their 2nd string would of started somewhere else. They'll be fine along the line. I'm gonna say Dengal wins the job if Tuttle doesn't get his waiver.

@@dcouwliercrap…you’re right. Long work week. On that note, I feel Michigan became masters of keeping secrets over the last couple seasons. I always thought, if they’d of cut JJ loose (wasn’t a secret) in the meat of the schedule and especially against Bama and Wash, those games could have been outta reach, way sooner. Same with Alex Orgi….i believe the kid can throw, and we’re gonna see it. The O line is fine and dude….Mullings, LOOK out!!!! Run it back and Go Blue!!!

Wink is the best NFL defensive coordinator and should be a NFL head coach today. He puts the players first and gives them all the knowledge and strategy to succeed. That's why all his players love him. Also, Wink brings that PRESSURE! He's trying to take the QBs head off. Highest blitz % in the NFL at the Ravens and his Giants defense was the only good thing about that trash team

You’re more optimistic than I am son. We lost our HC, DC, D line coach, secondary coach, strength & conditioning coach. And major recruiters within that group. Not to mention those specific position coaches were the strength of the team. Sharrone Moore better be better than advertised. And I’m not convinced that he is. The players made last year, specifically the last 3 regular season wins, what it was. I mean dude couldn’t scheme a way to slow down Penn State’s pass rush. And while Penn State’s D was good they weren’t 🌎 beaters by any stretch. What if we’d fell behind in that game? You still not throwing the ball in the 2nd half? I mean cmon. We were on top of the 🌎 after that Penn State game but it left some glaring holes in Moore’s scheming ability IMO.😤🤷🏻‍♂️

I hear the question with Martindale is whether he will be able to recruit as well as the younger guys like Minter. The sales pitch to recruits will be that Martindale is the guy who TAUGHT Minter and Minter's predecessor. The knock on him will be that Minter came up with improvements on Martindale's basic approach to defense. So far, I have not seen any huge move to the transfer portal, unlike the huge move to the NFL draft.
