Why Moscow is so cold? Reality of Russian winter

2 жыл бұрынYes, it is cold in Moscow during winter. Moscow is actually among the coldest European cities by some ratings. Russian winter lasts here for 6 months. The first snowfalls usually in November and completely melts in April. During this period you hardly see any sun. But fresh snow is definitely there in most cases. -30C during winter is not a surprise in Moscow, but it never lasts more than a few days.

In Russia they say: "There is no bad weather. There are wrong clothes." In winter, you need to wear fur coats, sheepskin coats, valenki, fur hats and fur gloves. And it will be hot and fun.😉✨

Not true. The temperature in the apartment is ~ 25'C. In winter I only wear a T-shirt and a warm thick winter jacket. hello from Siberia

100$ в месяц за отопление? Что-то много, обычно в районе 50-60. Хотя, если огромная квартира или дом, то может и да. Кстати, не рассказал про южные города, ведь в России есть и субтропики - Краснодарский Край, Крым

Достаточно что бы кто то открыл строем форточки вместо того что бы отрегулировать отопление и вот весь подъезд радостный счетам. Сибирь.

Good content! Few notes- spikes (studs) are not mandatory, only "winter type". It's not "central heating" but "district heating", thought in Russian it's called "centralnoe"

A thing thats very important in Winter imo are good gloves, because you can feel warm everywhere else, but your hands still freeze, its a shitty feeling

100% agree! I wish I included this part in the video - I have big gloves made of goat fur 😂 They save me a lot these days if -21C

Hi, I from Russia, (Arkhangrlsk) Now we have -30°C degrees, we go to school, public transport runs, people work and live, our frosts are not such a rare event, but in Yakutia it is now -67°C

оденутся в тоненькие свитера и курточки, наденут обувь на тонкой подошве, рассчитанную на плюсовую температуру, и начинают плакать про холод. Одеваться нужно по погоде и тогда все будет хорошо.

Hello, that won’t be easy in all the places in Moscow for example, but in the city center you can for sure! I’m not sure about other Russian cities, but my feeling is that rather not - assistance would be needed

Actually, he showed what to wear. Multiple layers will save you. In addition, get proper boots, wool socks and gloves.
