I'm a big fan of Chef Funke's restaurants and recently went to this one in Vegas. After eating at Felix and Mother Wolf in Los Angeles many, many times, this Vegas version was by far our favorite experience. He does not offer the Sfincione (focaccia) at the LA version of MW, it's only available at Felix in Venice, so this was an amazing surprise. If you've never had the Funghi pizza, it's absolutely TO DIE FOR. For some reason, we really enjoyed the one in Vegas more. Could have been the delicious cocktails. His rigatoni with the guanciale is simply salty heaven and as an appetizer, the squash blossoms can't be beat. Mangia!

I watch so many bloggers do food reviews and I still say yours are the best. You eat a good variety of food, you explain it perfectly and you always have dessert . So many bother with cocktails. Who cares. Liquor is liquor. Some have smoke. Sone have fancy ice cubes. But it’s the food that makes it. And dessert is a mist. Keep it up. And I hope you play monopoly again. Really enjoyed that

Omg! I can’t believe I am seeing Sfincione. The time I had it was 40 years ago in Milwaukee at a restaurant/bar run by people of an Italian descent with shady pasts.wink,wink. It is typically served around Xmas and has high quality anchovies on it. I searched for a recipe up until I finally found it 4 or 5 years ago. So good and really not hard to make although I’m sure this Chef’s Sfincione is mind blowing.

I just returned from a 4 night stay at Fontainebleau LV, and was lucky to try Mother Wolf during my visit. My hotel offer included a $120 dining credit at the resort that I used there. I had that Prime Rib Cap along with that tasty pistachio cream dessert you also had, both were delicious.

Matthew, I have a question for you: Do you eat more when you are in Vegas, or do you eat about the same amount of food as when you are at home? I have no idea what the food scene is like in Toronto. For me, I find that I do eat a lot more when I'm in Vegas than when I'm in California. Not only does Vegas have a lot of good dining options, but there are so many of them concentrated in such a small geographic area. Even Downtown and many great locals restaurants all around the valley aren't that far from the Strip. In the Bay Area, we have a lot of great restaurants, but they are so spread out all over the place. Many times, I simply don't want to drive 45 minutes or an hour to try out a new restaurant. The good thing about Vegas, though, is that I find myself walking a lot more going from casino to casino, so I don't really gain any extra weight even though I am eating more.

problem is its too sofa king xpensive....only a certain clientell can eat here..plus FB is too far north, no foot traffic..i'd rather just stay center strip and eat cheap at miracle miles or ellis island
