trust me bro,the problem is if you don't have a job that pays at least 20-22-30/h , you wont even survive with current cost of living or taxes which is sum up to 40% of all ur income ( inside and outside Canada ) yes if you have any income even from outside Canada you have to pay 30% and +10% on each item you purchase.

they were right in general but in contrast, they're hiding an unavoidable ugly truth about Canada, you are better off away until they fix it, even Canadian ppl are leaving Canada, I used an online tax calculator called "talent" you can google it, *Alberta* is considered one of the most affordable provinces to live in. Income tax is 29.3% for jobs that pays 15$ , but that is not all , you would still need to pay extra 10% on everything you purchase ( 5% Canada Tax and 5% province Tax )which sum up to *39.3%* Tax.. in numbers Income Salary: 2438$( before tax) ---> 1462.8 (After Tax) Here is what you need to buy Just to survive (without saving or any entertainment) Rent: (cheapest rent 1 studio ) 1000 -1200 ( remaining 462.8$) Food: 400$ (remaining 62.8$) utilities: 200-250$ (DEBT: -137.2) WIFI: 80$ (DEBT: ~220$) Phone: 40$ (DEBT: ~260$) Transportation(to work): 500$ (without a car) (DEBT: 760$) --> Owning a car extra (500$) Winter Cloth: .... Furniture: ..... CookWare: ..... studying: ..... licensing: ..... even with the job they'd end up spending a big chunk of their life savings just to survive the harsh Canadian TAX and the Harsh WInter, the same person who is struggling now were living a much decent and much happier life in their home country with a house/apartment and probably a car. People can't live on the streets like they would do in other countries because of the harsh winter .. People are leaving for a reason, everyone is saying the Canadian dream is a scam for a reason!, even well-paying jobs don't allow ppl to save money. If those people didn't have to pay tax they might have a chance to survive, 2438$/month is manageable but 1440$/month is impossible!

your argument is *far off* i'm afraid, if it worked for you it doesn't mean it would work for everyone else if you look for the actual facts you will realize that there isn't any chance for 99% of all newcomers to ever have a better life than the one they once had in their home country, and the biggest reasons is taxes, if you were lucky enough to land a job you would never be able to survive due to the *MASSIVE* *tax* *on* *your* *straggling* *Income* , you will actually start spending out of your life saving just to survive if you sold a car or a house back home u would actually spend a big chunk of that money the first few months in Canada even if you had a job. ex: if I accepted a temp job of 15$/h ( 1600$/month ) just to survive or to get "Canadian exp", the tax cut is 40-60% (30% income tax) + (10% => 5% Canada tax and 5% Province tax ) ... that leaves us with 960$, even if I had two full-time jobs that pays 2000$ I wont be able to survive! , and I cant live on street like in other countries because of the harsh winter. Can you tell me how would someone earns 15$/h survive in Canada ? I bet you cant, I bet if you look at the actual numbers you would rent a studio to 2-3 people, just for them to survive. those people were living in a big apartment back in their home country now they're sharing a studio with 2 other strangers. Also, I think under those conditions at least 10% of the newcomers would lose their heads and may commit crimes against the state that lied to them and scammed them with the false " Canadian Dream ". Of course, no one wants or supports violence/crimes/madness in any way, but with the current scam that is going on it's systematically turning people into criminals or drug addicts. the tax cut needs to wind way down especially when people can't survive the harsh Canadian cost of living or the Extreme winter conditions. either that or making sure that all newcomers get opportunities to earn at least 2800CAD

@@MakeThatChange when you subtract the tax it will be. then you would need to pay for rent, car , phone bills , internet , food and others with what's left , it's literally impossible without taking a chunk out of your life saving just to clean someone's floor in a different country ... the real issue is the amount of tax the gov is taking from new commers and now everyone is talking about it , 40-60% is way to much , it should be 15-40% and not a penny more.
@MakeThatChange
@MakeThatChange 10 ай бұрын
Your math still seems off…if you subtract all the expenses you mention and are still with 1600 - that’s a lot of money leftover each month. If you aren’t accounting for that with your math, then 15/hr is way more than 1600. Feel free to use a tax calculator to verify. You have much more than you think… you’d probably know that if you actually made this much… or you’re getting scammed by your employer
