INFJ personality types and INFP personality types are two of the most highly creative types out of all the MBTI types. However, they are also the two types that suffer from the most self-doubt
about their creativity. There is one very good reason INFJ personality types and INFP personality types struggle so much with self-doubt in this area, and that’s because no one understands INFJ and INFP creativity.
The truth is that INFJ personality types and INFP personality types are highly creative. Both types have no trouble coming up with new ideas, asking a lot of questions, wondering “why” and “what if,” and connecting seemingly unconnected things. These traits are all hallmarks of strong creativity. However, for most of their lives, whenever an INFJ or an INFP tries to share their creativity with others, they are told they are doing it the wrong way.
INFJs and INFPs are told, “That’s weird,” “That’s too dark,” “Why would you even think of that?” Or, “That doesn’t make any sense,” or, “How did you get there?” These are all statements that make INFJs and INFPs feel shamed, wrong, stupid, and like they don’t know what they’re doing. This fills the INFJ or INFP with self-doubt and this happens from an early age. To the INFJ or INFP, it feels like no one else gets them, and then they carry that strong self-doubt into adulthood.
So, an INFJ or an INFP may dream of writing a book, or making art, or making music, and sharing what they create with the world, so that they can share themselves and also help other people, but when they try to be creative in any way, that same old self-doubt and shame come flooding back. Watch the video to find out more.

High Intuition means we view the world very creatively since birth. Then we feel outcast when our view mismatches others.

Sensors view the world as it is, we view the world as it could be. That's the big difference.

Art teachers have made some weird comments to me, that damaged my self-confidence. When I look back on the work, it's really ok, actually pretty good! I don't know why I listened to them. Haha !

I love "what if..." I am alllllways asking myself or others the "what if..." because I am always thinking outside of the normal box!!! And yes, the ideas flow like crazy, but I just can't get moving.❤❤❤ Thank you.

My Ni antenna sprang to attention when you talked about the subject matter of this class! Yes, I am the moth and cannot resist, especially after the "Manifesting Abundance" class- yes, the money class was and still is triggering, which is very weird because the subject of money (what it is and isn't) is a central theme in my worldview and in a lot of my writing, indicating there's still a LOT to learn from that class; so glad it was recorded! Having my creative work ridiculed, dismissed, ignored, or misunderstood is a death blow, like having my heart ripped out while it still beats. For me, writing is akin to giving birth, a small part of myself becomes a separate being with a life of its own but still intimately attached to me, simultaneously a source and object of nurture and affection- does anyone enjoy being told they have an ugly baby? Would anyone be so cruel as to say such a thing, or ignore the grins and coos of any infant? Like any infant, being answered by a blank look or wan smile, or a cold ❤or 👍 just doesn't cut it- no, of course not, the infant wants to pull on your finger, have you make faces with it, tickle it, ENGAGE WITH IT. It wants to be included in your life, and to see an affect in your facial expression, hear the smile in your voice, see the love in your eyes...so does its mother. Thank you Lauren for all that you do to help Intuitives connect with their creative energy, I wish I had the benefit of your influence decades ago, I'm sure it would have made even more of an impact then than it's having now. And yes, you have a lovely, lively baby. 😊

Infj infp use emotion with their creativity. They always have deep meaning in their heart ideas. Most people don’t understand this. Some of the best actors and movie directors are these types. They can be abstract and eccentric compared to the sensor type actors and directors

Hi Lauren, I’d like to offer some constructive feedback. I’ve purchased your books “The INFJ Writer” and “The INFJ Revolution” and I believe you have great input for INFJs. However, with the number of content creators on KZfaq offering free information on the various personality types (especially INFJs), your videos come across more like commercials for your workshops. Maybe they’re meant to, but if you aren’t seeing the traction you’d like, that could be the reason. Thank you for your valued insight, I wish you well.

This is so so true. I reflect on all the times I was so proud and finally got the courage to share my creative ideas and got looks of confusion or complete misinterpretation-those eventually did beat out my desire to share. And so I create to please myself and no one else. Maybe when I’m dead, people will discover my creations and they will click. I’m not sad about this any longer-pleasing myself satisfies me!

As an INFJ/HSP, this why I really enjoy collaging and creating surrealist art. BTW, I’m really enjoying your videos and this channel. I’m feeling seen and understood.

@susiebenson I'm not Lauren and I'm no expert, but as a student of MBTI (and an INFJ) I think I can give you an adequate introduction to the topic and a good resource for more information. INFJ and INFP are MBTI (Myers Briggs Type Instrument) personality types, derived from Jungian psychoanalytic theory. They represent two types of introverts who primarily rely on Intuitive thinking and tend to be "future- focused" rather than past- or present-focused (sensory informed) and each relies heavily on feelings for their judgements about the world (INFJ is concerned more with others' feelings- Fe (Extraverted Feeling)= ethics / INFP is concerned more with their own feelings and values- Fi(Introverted Feeling)= morals) The two types are considered to be unusually "empathic" and empathetic, as well as enigmatic. For a really fun way to explore INFJ and INFP as well as other MBTI types and their personality dynamics, go to TypeTube KZfaq channel, in my opinion it's the best introduction to the topic I've seen, and it's BINGEWORTHY content. Hope that helps, enjoy!
