I dont understand why its even that close at 77%. In season 1, the series writers and showrunners have very clearly designed it that we are going to feel more sympathy towards Rhaenyra and her alliance. The book is clearly different as it is written in more of a text of historical events and the Team Black vs Team Green would be more interesting comparison. But you could do a point by point comparison of the entirety of both teams starting with: -The leaders (Rhaenyra & Aegon); -Their major supporting characters and family members (Daemon, Alicent, Aemond, Rhaenys, Criston Cole, the other Velaryon family members, the other kids, etc.); -The other allies such as the Strong's and the Hightower's and their close council members; -The Dragons; -The awful or ridiculous things that both sides have done; -How many of the people just act like a**holes; -The incestuous relationships; -The promise of being the heir and the inheritance of the leaders; -The childhood friendship between Rhaenyra and Alicent; etc. And with how the show has portrayed them in nearly every category Team Black has been designed to garner more sympathy from the viewers than Team Green. Even the incestuous relationships category is at a stalemate (or even slightly favors Team Black) because at least Rhaenyra and Daemon appear to actually love each other. The duplicitous nature of Otto and Alicent every step of the way from when Otto first persuaded his daughter to get into bed with the King that was at least 25 years older than her and finally to the usurping of the King's DECLARED Heir, Team Green has been shown to be more duplicitous and with more mentally unbalanced characters. If anyone supports Team Green over Team Black it cannot possibly be due to how the TV series has portrayed them. 😊🐉

Can we also point out that the Greens basically locked everyone in the castle up and left the kings body to rot with no attempt at a funeral in order to keep his death hidden whilst they laid their plans? That happens in both the book and the show. Alicent was groomed by her father to become queen starting in Jaherys' reign also in the book. The deal between Laynor and Rhaenyra was mutual and none of Alicents business. Yet she plays all righteous and sanctimonious until its something SHE wants. Lets be honest, whatever creepy stuff shes got going on with Larys IS still a form of cheating. I would seriously choose Cyrce of GOT over this hypocritical skank any day. Cyrce was evil but never pretended to be anything else.

Just a reminder, it is strongly implied that Alicent murdered the hand maiden assaulted by Aegon. Also, Otto Hightower is a weasel of the highest order. Plus, creepy Larys Strong is identified with the Greens (even if it is through self-interest). And do we really need to mention what a little bitch Criston Cole is? The Greens - top to bottom - are just less likable people.

Another thing that wasn't stated is that book Rhaenyra is actually worse than her show counterpart and I think the showrunners did that on purpose while simultaneously making Aegon onscreen worse than the literary version

When looking at it in a cold manner, it's clear that Rhaenyra, Daemon, Rhaenys, Aegon, Aemond, and Alicent are all criminals. The difference that I have seen is simply that the former three are all likable characters. They're funny, sympathetic, and headstrong. The latter three are not. Now, that's not my opinion, I like *and* hate pretty much all of these characters, this is just my guess as to why. I do feel pretty complex feelings about some of the decisions related to the Greens. Criston's killing of Joffrey is confusing. Larys' fetish for Alicent's feet adds an interesting power dynamic, but is extremely tasteless for a disable character. The handmaiden's scene was brilliantly acted, and adds nuance to Alicent's character, but at a severe cost to Aegon's. I expect Season 2 to add a lot of elements that would give greater reason to support or at least sympathize with the Greens, and I'm excited to see what they do, but I'm worried that fans just won't budge on the nuances Condal and crew are planning to add because "Aegon's a rapist", "Larys is a creep", "Criston is an incel" etc.

Daemon would kill his nephew/niece if he was in Aemond shoes???? Episode 2 begs to differ. I am not fan of Daemon, he is definitely but I think you do not understand his motivations. I would still support Rhaenyra, even if Aegon was more likeable or if she was against Aemond. Why? Because the only thing that would justify usurpation is if she was bad ruler. But they never allow her to rule in peace - they took away her throne solely because of her gender before she could even prove herself. That's why I cannot support Greens - because supporting them is not about supporting more fit individual but about supporting misogyny!

The writers are biased towards the Blacks. I dont want to hear that choose a side garbage from them again. They have pretty much destroyed two major characters from the Green side in the first episode and you probably know who they are.

Both are evil but Daemon and Rhaemyra are not like Viserys as before death he probaly choose Alicent,the Greens are better rulers but people like Larys Strong seems even more sinister than Daemon

The show unwittingly wrote a better case for the greens against the blacks in S1. They are currently doing the most to undothat mistake and completely villanize the Greens.

Aegon literally was used as bait by Aemond in the show. In reality, Vagar was too slow, so he would have lost against Raenys, Imo. In the books, they both tag teamed Raenys for the same reason. The show is starting to make me angry. If we don't get a Maegor type performance from crippled Aegon as being burnt alive would make most people angry and bitter, then the show is an L. Daeron also beter be a Rob stark type. It's funny how the greens have the moral high ground in the show while the show runners do everything to try and make the blacks look good. The irony is that the blacks are the biggest scumbags. Hopefully, Aegon 3 and Viserys 2's relationship is a redeeming quality.

Rhaenyra is not 'bad person', she is good... as of now. She is not perfect, but you can't really show any evil actions of her (except servant on Driftmark, but we can't really know why Daemon chose him and wheter he truly was innocent as fandom believes) and one bad things don't make people evil.

All this talk of Rhaenyra being robbed of her birthright is nonsense. It was not her birthright because her father had to NAME her as heir, had he not done that she would not be next in line. For it to be her birthright it would have had to conform to the natural succession rules which it did not. The fact is that Westeros did not have a tradition of a king picking his heir, most kings simply followed the established order of succession. No one can justify why a mediocre king like Viserys gets to change the rules at whim when great Targaryen kings like Aegon I and Jaehaerys I choose to abide by tradition.

The Blacks because Rhaenyra is the legitimate heir, named by her father. The political structure isn't a Republic. Whatever the king decrees is law. It's as if the show runners and writers are pushing a political agenda.
