WHY RADIO IS NOT WORKING. HOW TO FIX CAR RADIO
If your car radio is not working in this video we will demonstrate the most common reason why car radio does not work and why radio is not turning on. We were working on this car and one day the radio did not turn on. We tried to reset it a few times but it did not work then we needed to check the radio fuse. After checking the manual our radio did not have a fuse listed but we found out that our radio fuse is the same fuse for the interior lights too. Most of the times there will be specific fuse for the radio and you may have a second radio fuse behind the radio but the only way to check that would be by removing the radio itself. Not every radio has fuse on the back side. We were able to fix our radio by replacing the fuse only.

My JVC kw-avx840 will not pick up fm very well at all. I have tried new antenna and added a longer cable to it but no luck. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

You think you fixed the problem . You gotta know what s made the fuse blew that's why there are wiring diagrams .you didn't fix the radio just temporary .

Ok I went to get my system installed in my car ..... but for some reason my subwoofer the bass wasn't working no more I took it to go get checked and the same foos who helped me install my system said they couldn't do nothing for me because it the original radio

Get someone to check if the car radio wire (that comes from the antenna) is plugged in properly into the stereo. Many of the guys who set these don’t really do the job well.

@@alondrarogel9337 maybe ground wires need to be changed. Sounds like it needs to be grounded by the root , try to find out what it is before you go to these audio stores they’ll overcharge you just to find out the problem.

I replaced the ignition linkage the radio works perfectly fine in the reverse position which is on but when I turn the key in the opposite direction to start the car no radio what might be the problem this is a PT cruiser 2005

@Michael Dee I have the exact same problem with the same car make, model and year. 2005 PT Cruiser Dream Cruiser 4 Turbo convt. Did you find a solution to to it? Also my problem happened when I replaced the ignition linkage. Same damn thing lol

Can some one answer my question about my 2005 Nissan Sentra So my radio turns off and on while engine is on. It constantly turns of and on and won’t let me hear any music. Do I need new radio or is there a way to fix it. If anybody could help I well appreciate it.

@@nategotti76ify it’s an ‘05 Chrysler PT cruiser convt, a second car and more trouble than it’s worth because there are constantly issues like this. The radio does work, but only with the key in the accessory position. When I turn the key to run position to start the car, the radio goes out and won’t power on again until I turn the car is off and put the key is in the accessory position. It’s enough to drive me crazy. Try turning on your radio with the key in accessory (on my car it’s one notch left turn (opposite direction of turning the key to start the car). And then see if your radio stays on with you start. For some makes/models that seems to solve it.
