Ratchet and Clank Up Your Arsenal is the third installment in Insomniac's Ratchet and Clank franchise. This entry follows Ratchet and Clank's return to the Solana Galaxy after its assault by robotic supervillain Doctor Nefarious, who wishes to eradicate organic lifeforms. The two must then ally themselves with the likes of the Galactic Rangers, Skid McMarx, Helga, their archnemesis Captain Qwark and more to take down this new threat.

I always thought that Nefariouses motives are suppose to be nonsensical and stupid because the "Robots are opressed" was never an issue and it was emphesized in the game on purpose. He, as he used to be an organic life form himself, was turned into a robot against his will (in an accident and as a consequence of his own failiure) and he tries to convince the universe and HIMSELF that "IT WAS ON PURPOSE BECAUSE ROBOTS ARE SUPERIOR, AND NOW I AM BETTER THAN EVER AND I WILL NOT BE LOOKED DOWN UPON AND I AM FINE, I swear mum I am..." . And he is doing the exact same thing that happened to him to the rest of galaxy - turning organics into robots agains their will (making them mindless drones is just an added bonus) so they can feel his pain... I MEAN - so he is upgrading the world, doing all those poor creatures a favour.

I get him wanting to turn others into robots so that they feel his suffering in a way, but I never really got the impression that his motives were supposed to be nonsensical, that's just me though

@@MrJarheadTV I really wish some character would call him on his BS and hipocricy as he used to be organic. But seeing as the character gest more and more flanderised after ACiT I can't say I have much hope for that. Now he's just game Eggman in the R&C universe, no longer a funny character (no longer an inteligent one to be precise, as he used to have a plan B for almost anything and actually make his own stuff instead of hiring Goons for Less or something) but a walking joke... Or maybe I'm just to bitter to see a difference anymore.

Yeah exactly, that's why I understand where you're coming from when you say his motivations are supposed to be hypocritical and lame but nobody in the universe actually calls him out about it, which just leads me to personally believe that his motivations are just kinda lame unintentionally

i don't even know why i try anymore. nothing i ever do in my life will ever be as good as this video. this is your magnum opus. this video is pure perfection in all definitions of the word. i could make a video day after day after day for 1000 years straight and it wouldnt even be 1/10th the quality of this video. if this video was a drug i would heat it up in a spoon and inject it into my veins. this video makes me feel pure ecstasy. these 29 minutes and 57 seconds were the greatest of my entire life. my life after this video can only go downhill at least until your next video

Thank you! And honestly yeah for years I always looked at Ratchet 3 as the "weakest" one of the trilogy, but replaying it made me realize that to me it really does seem to be a matter of preference for the most part, rather than a lack of quality. Like you said the series is super consistent, each game is fantastic in their own right

Kinda funny I enjoyed Ratchet and Clank 3 alot. I'm fact my favorite mainly how fun the gameplay is and Captain Qwark's development. But not a fan of Spyro 3 like I have the game both original and remake but never finished it. Didn't like the mini games.

@@MrJarheadTV I think the soundtrack is available on YT. Also, in regards to Angela, didn't Insomniac completely forget about her existence and decide that Ratchet is now the last of his species? I haven't played any R&C games since 3 so I can't confirm this, but I thought that was the case.

They acknowledged her existence in a Crack In Time a couple games after this but they said something about her tail that discredits her actually being a lombax I think? I'm not too sure either but basically I think they tried coming up with some excuse to say that she's technically not a lombax I could be wrong though

4:27 hey what’s up man, it’s been a minute. I just remembered I am fine tip about the meteor gun in going commando is that if you have the “lock on MOD” equipped with it. They become one of the most broken weapon in your arsenal ( no pun intended ) and it’s personally one of my favorites because of that.

Oh yeah when I was younger I used to hate the meteor gun but once I used the lock on mod with it it became one of my favorites. I love both it and the liquid nitrogen gun now. Good to hear from you again! 😁

Nice video, really liked this one too. I wanted to let you know that your jak 3 video was the push I need to beat jak 1 & 2 and I'm really glad I did because I beat them both as well and I was so happy when I figured out jak 2. Now I'm playing jak 3 and I'm enjoying it all. Btw I'd like a baconator meal with a dr pepper no ice. And I really need to beat this game now too, really liking the consistency lately

@@MrJarheadTV ever since we moved to texas in '98 that's been one of my favorite US soft drinks, next to mountain dew and orange sunkist. On the matter at hand, I never got the ratchet 3 until I purchased it at movie trading co. In 2015, the last time I had a crack at it was when my parents rented it for me in summer of '05 or '06 and I remember then i only made it to the end of the first level in the swamp. Going commando is my favorite in the series followed closely by 1, I really want to beat 3 so I can get what I missed

I've always loved Dr Pepper for as long as I can remember. I've never been big on Mountain Dew but it's still good. Orange Sunkist is one of those drinks that's really good and whenever I have it I say I should get it more often but never do so I just keep getting Dr Pepper/Coke lol. And yeah I feel the same, Ratchet 2 > 1 > 3 for me, though admittedly I like 1 more and more as I continue to play it so I wouldn't be surprised if it actually becomes my favorite someday

To be fair the Snivelak battle can be done with regular weapons faster than using the turrets. Remember I used bouncer and the hoverbomb weapons to finish that fight quickly. No need for exploits

Shoot speed runners do it faster than the exploit. They lock the robot in place then fire hover bombs at it and use the shield. The exploit is just turning it into a sheep

Funny enough the Spyro 3 is easily my favorite in the trilogy lol ( i’m not even nostalgia Blind because this is my first time playing the sequels recently ) But I definitely agree with your view of ratchet and clank up your arsenal. Though it is my second favorite game of the PS2 era Because all the neat positive features that it Introduced to what you’re saying in the video, my favorite of course is going commando.

Came back to watch this again cause I finally beat ratchet 3 for the first time ever and I really enjoyed it. Although for my whole life going commando is my favorite in the series, I cant believe it took me until this past thursday to finally beat that game although I remember back the in the day I got to rent it for a weekend summer of 2005, I never got to own it until 2015 where I did start the game I couldn't make it past where dr nefarious bots invade the phoenix but I did have fun with this game over all, I love how many levels you could upgrade your guns. I still put going commando over this one but it went to overtime and was won but a last second field goal

I would agree Ratchet II edges out III because of level design and color palate. Do you plan to explore ratchet games outside the original trilogy? Deadlocked, Tools, and Crack in Time are all fantastic games.

I have to agree. The original trilogy is special but RAC3 Is by far the worst one. I'd even say deadlocked is better. RAC1 is massive, so many levels and so much flavor. RAC2 the set pieces, tons of weapons, and introduction of the arena a mainstay in the franchise.
