As a Grade 11 historian, I'm inspired by this man, he speaks volumes our very own teachers don't transcend across, I didn't know about Mr. Sibukwe before watching this, and if I didn't watch this, I would've never known, thus, I wouldn't tell my kids too about this man...this would mean more South African History would Die and become Distorted.

You will never hear about him, they destroyed everything about him including his interviews because he was very dangerous to White man. Sobukhwe is the reason we're celebrating 21 March human rights. Long live Mangaliso Sobukhwe 🇿🇦

as a young history teacher in progress, I really appreciate these oral accounts of history. I really acknowledge it because it is the type of information that the government does not want our learners to know about rather than choose these other useless political to be in school textbooks. As I will be doing my practicals next year I will use these historical videos in my classes. please unpack more history events for us sir... ...

The first president of the ANCYL, Anton Lembede was a Pan Africanist, his deputy, AP Mda described him as "the principal architect of pan africanism..", but he never left the ANC. The Freedom Charter was adopted after "The Atlantic Charter" which was document adopted after the World War 2. After the 1949 congress, ANC elected a body led by ZK Matthews to study "The Atlantic Charter", remember in the same congress program of action was adopted (meaning the ANC was ready to take guns and fight). ANC went outside the country looking for weapons but no country was willing to help, and they were all citing same reasons "they can't help nationalists". The late Andrew Mlangeni is on record saying he went to Russia with Walter Sisulu and the then leader of Russia Nikita Khrushchev, told them to thier faces that he will not negotiate with nationalists, so was Mao in China. They came back and report to the leadership of the organization and the saying "desperate measures..." came to effect. The leadership of the ANC sent a delegation to the SACP to among other things ask to work with them. That's how JB Marks and Mauane Kotane ended up living in Russia and later buried. That's how one morning in 1960 when Mme Ruth Mompati and Ntate Duma Nokwe had to report to work (they were working at a law firm of president Mandela) they were told that the law firm will not be operating form that morning henceforth. The SACP played a central part in making sure the ANC cadres get military training, proper political education etc. In how how the PAC was formed, I will argue that it was impatience on the part of its founding fathers, given that the leadership of the ANC didn't have to report to President Sobukwe or rather explain to him how they ran the organization (members of the organization should at all material times give the leaders they elected to run the organization the best way they know how). Africa and her children suffers from a disease of not wanting to be led but want to lead, hence Africa is the only continent with political unrests and many opposition parties (parties with same ideologies). Sorry for long ink....
@scalesofjustice2877

Would you honestly say the ANC of today still values the principles of its founding fathers? Killing black minors like dogs, stealing food packages that are meant for the poor, building houses that are not of standard, not refurbishing the infrastructure accordingly, stealing funds meant for the benefit of the poor, selling state owned entities to white monopoly capitalists? How can you honestly tell a black person to let such people lead when they are the very cause of our problems? ANC has become an elitist movement that puts aloof individuals to lead our people. They sell us out at every chance they get. Public hospitals and clinics have no resources and medication, police stations in the locations are short of cars and man power, there's no electricity for a minimum of 4 hours a day in the locations. Leaders such as Mangaliso Sobukwe, Bantu Biko and Hani saw the culture of scavenging brewing within the ANC a long time ago. African leaders are sell outs in their nature and those who weren't died for it. Afrika is a mess because of its leaders not being principled. If you have money they will give you Afrika to exploit.

This man is so intelligent he can take on all the so called “young lions” that have a lot of opinions but self enriching themselves at the expense of the voters. I’m referring to the populists that seem to be having a lot of following because they appear to know politics when they are just opportunistic politicians.

This guy is misrepresenting History. Number 1 The freedom charter wasn't formed by the ANC but by coalition movements called Congress Alliance- It stated that South Africa belongs to All those who live in it. It didn't say The Land belongs to all who live in it. Robert Sobukwe left the ANC to form the PAC because He despised white People because the ANC had White members in its ranks. The berlin conference happened in 1884 while Africa was already colonised to some extent by European countries e.g Jan Van Riebeck landed in 1652 at the Cape of Good Hope that proves that European influence was there because the scramble for Africa.
