Why We Love Samal Island so much | Vlog with ‪@ValentinaLovingPhilippines‬ , ‪@Filipinez‬ , and Me
Hey everyone! In this video, we, three foreigners - Valentina, Andrey, and I - share our love for Samal Island in the Philippines. We'll explain why Samal is the best place for us and what makes it so special. From its beautiful beaches to the friendly locals, this island has everything you need for a perfect peaceful life.
I want to apologize for not posting in real-time. This video was made in May 2024 exactly after my motorcycle accident.
While traveling around the Philippines in search of the best place and school for my children, I often don't have the time or energy to edit videos. I don't have an editor and handle everything myself. But since my channel isn't focused on daily news, I hope you'll still find it interesting to see why we love Samal so much.

Happy to see you 3 in one vlog & also happy to see 2 beautiful ladies in 2 different countries (Russia & Latvia) in one vlog.. I envy you 3 cause i have never step foot anywhere there in Davao.. I fully agree with you that Samal is the best island destination in the Philippines because it is not highly commercialized yet like Boracay, El Nido, & even Siargao. . enjoy Samal before it becomes commercialized.

Yes samal is good but siargao is nicer maybe bit expensive in siargao for fruits!!

In Siargao is flow of people. Very foreigner crowded.People usually don't stay there longterm. Only few foreigners. But I love Siargao very much as well. For the vibe , surf , live music in the evenings and food.

My ancestors are from Siargao. I spent many years there when there were few to no tourists, which was paradise quiet. Now, it's very expensive, very crowded, and too noisy. The foreign tourists are mostly okay. It's the local Filipino tourists who are sometimes boorish and arrogant. They tend to look down at the local inhabitants but are in awe of foreigners, something we who have roots there absolutely hate.

Samal Islands' tourism office should pay us for advertising 😅😅😅 There are a lot of resorts that are not in booking.com or agoda. For example Red Parrot. That's a place where we stayed for a first night. Or samals beach park. Exactly on the beach ..

In Samal actually very hard to find a decent house for long term rent.. it could be 15-30k.

I heard in the news that ATMs are not accessible to Russian citizens because of the war. Mostly Russians who were living in Bali, Indonesia have this problem. Hopefully the ones living in the Philippines don't encounter this issue.
