It has become a very niche of niche kind of product now, People who has particular product requirement only go for Sony current mobile phones. Their target buyers is completely different and It's tough for Sony to cater to the mass market consumers in their current condition

Sony was way ahead of its time,sadly the lacked marketing brain. My 2013 xperia z1 had background defocus i.e modern potrait mode 3 years earlier than other brands,also had niche functions.

Yah bro even we had xperia T from 2012 and its camera quality and battery backup was too goo. Used the phone till 2018 and at that time it gave backup of 1day with normal usage but unfortunately its has been stolen

@@NostalgiaforInfinity For Chinese makers it's a flagship tier that too @50k segment. For sony it's a decent budget segment. Earlier days during 2012/2013 Sony has released few xperia series starts from 10k but nowadays we can't expect the same.

Dude, They already have the Xperia 5 & 10 series in their budget tier and mid-range with all their Sony Black Tech ... they just don't sell it here in India yet for undisclosed reasons.

Indian market is cost conscious and their market in India was not too much.. Mostly their phones are premium hence they had stopped selling in India .

Indian market is pretty trash. The moment you go above 40k everyone only wants refurbished iphone 11/12 instead of opting for premium mid range androids. A cheap Sony phone will be around 40k-50k but everyone will only buy stone age iphones just for the logo..

I had a Xperia Z5 that I used from late 2015-2017, then I moved on to LG V30+ for 4 years and got an Xperia 1 III late 2021. Both the older phones are still working and have no problems except a slightly broken screen. In my experience Sony phones last longer than any other phones I have used since 2008, including Nokia.

I think its late for Sony but if they want to bounce back then atleast from UI side they should opt for Stock android like Moto and Nokia and hardware should be Snapdragon then there will be tough challenge from Japanese brand to other mobile brand in India

Sony had the best design tho , i still have a z3plus with me(screen shattered and no service available) and after that in my opinion Samsung s8/s8 plus line up got the best design , truely s8 plus is a beautiful phone and i still use it as a secondary phone with a custom rom.
