Adding to it according to New York Times, research has shown that engaging in racquet sports like tennis, badminton, and squash can have a remarkable impact on one's lifespan. These sports offer a unique blend of cardiovascular exercise, mental stimulation, and social engagement, which collectively contribute to enhanced longevity. The mental aspect of squash is astounding as you have to grapple with the technicality of holding the racket and varying speed and angle besides being confounded by the 3-dimensional of the ball travel and bounce. This mental draining aspect helps one to reboot your brain each time you play the sport and hence develops spatial awareness and mental resilience.

Greatest sport (after cricket of course 😎). I play 4 times a week…I am 50. Keeps my heart in good condition. My resting heart rate is below 60 and sometimes as low was 53…all because of squash 👍

Awesome video however we need to pitch squash a different way. Yes the game is tough especially when you have played for a period and become an expert 🤔. Loved the , any shape or size that's perfect to attract players. Instead of using the descriptive word tough, this will scare people to start maybe use fun and challenging. Again love the video, will be using aspects to try and get more members. Thanks x

Within a 1-2 hour time window, which sport producing the highest heart rates for the longest duration? During matches, professional squash players often have heart rates in the 185-205 range. For tennis and badminton players-if you are a good athlete and can figure out the game (squash), the prize money is there for the taking. Yet, the top-100 squash rankings never sees random tennis or badminton players visiting from their respective sports.

squash is anything but healthy in the long run. knees and hips do not enjoy stopping with lunge after a sprint.

played lots in my youth and early twenties at 5th league in '70's and early 80's in JHB. At 60 years old now my knees and hips are stuffed from the continuous pounding they received.

Stuffed meaning? Positive or negative?
@bettermebetterlife8975
@bettermebetterlife8975 2 жыл бұрын
Probably negative? But I'm guessing it's not the sport's fault, but the overtraining and no resting, and no injury prevention, instead? But I'm no expert, and some people say knees and hips hate stopping with lunge after a sprint.

I guess couch potatoeing is the most difficult especially when you have to stretch your arm to reach the remote.

squash is probably the toughest sport out there since it requires you to be able to sprint for 3 mins straight including change of direction meaning you need endurance and speed.
