When I heard he was siding with Putin, and Russia against Ukraine I threw out all the movies i had, and refuse to watch anything he does. I got on this just long enough to post. i had started losing interest in him when I saw videos of him showing what he could do, and he had students of stuntmen walk up like they were going to attack, and stop and wait for him to take them down. He was not gentile when he did this either. Watch some yourself, and see them pause for him to do his thing. Everyone of them is a lot shorter, and he towers above them.

I think Seagal's main issue is that he wants to be this character he's showing on screen and be thought of by everyone that he really is that person in the movies. I also think secondary to all that, he's severely out of shape for the role he wants to play. It's like if he's not willing to put the time in to make himself fit into this role he wants, then why should anyone else care or respect that? I honestly think if he was in shape and could perform on screen, I think he would still be pretty relevant today, or at least his post-stardom DTV movies that he made. Instead they're all pure gold comedy and just horrible to watch. I also think that for future projects, if he got into a little better shape, at least someone with a smaller frame and belly, he'd do pretty well as a come back. I think people would enjoy seeing the Seagal we had in Under Siege and before.

I watched Hard to Kill and I liked the character he played. I named my oldest son Nicola after Seagals character.
