I love everything about it... However I wish the flared fenders would have been more sculpted like on the type R, as opposed to the stuck on look.

I own an Integra Type-S and it’s my most favorite car! I’m a father and the surprisingly spacious rear seats fit a car seat perfectly, and the hatch allows a stroller to fit with ease. This car is perfect for the enthusiast father!!

Great review! I'm not a fan of MOST new cars, but this is the rare one that I could see myself happily owning a few years down the road (in these exact colors, please). Future classic too, I bet!

I bought a tiger eye gold one yesterday. Dealer told me it was the only gold available in California, I believe it. Rich guy bought mine, turned it in for different interior (mine's ebony he went with white stripe). So it was used with 1.7k miles. Ran a tank of gas through it in the Sierra foothills and I'm in love! My son will get my current Chevy Sonic 1.8 which is a fine car, no problems. My daughter is fuming that I am spending her money 🙂

I got my Type-S in March, paid MSRP, no hassle. I am 47yr and my kids are now older and can fit in the back seat. I can have fun and drive this daily, smiles with every drive. The only thing I wish it has was the memory seat but it did not stop me from buying the car. I drive on Sport+ all the time except on long highway drive I will flip to comfort mode. The sport+ ride is perfect for when you are engaged with driving.

I usually drive in Individual with Steering in Sport, suspension in comfort and Engine in Sport+. When I feel cocky, I will just put it in Sport+. Agree with the memory seats, that was a inexcusable miss from Acura.

Love the vids! The issue that I have with this car is…it’s a FWD, 4-door, and expensive. Honda/Acura are trying to pull on us 30s year old nostalgia. Yet, what I remember was an affordable car 2-door Integra that was fun to drive and cheap.

I prefer FWD over RWD, and the reason is than a FWD is always more predictable than a RWD, you point the car into a curve, and the car goes where you want it to go. Right now, thanks to traction control, RWD cars are more predictable, but with heavy rain the traction control tends to get crazy, and do strange things.

I wish I could seriously consider having a manual car as my daily driver. The recent cortisone shot to my arthritic left knee was a harsh reminder that I'm probably forever stuck just occasionally driving a friend's car or maybe someday having something with a manual as a second car. I'd love to get to drive a Type S for a few hours some day.

The Civic Type R was made to be the ultimate track car, while the Integra Type S was made to the be the ultimate canyon carving daily driver. Each are great in their own rights, but the Type S seems to strike the perfect balance for many driving dynamics.

@@p.informatico1320 Both are the same car. The ITS has better suspension tuning for the track. CTR owners already learned this and are swapping their suspension controller with the ITS one.

I bought one and think I made the right choice. If this wasn't a hatch I may have very well went with my other choices. My other choices were m340i and is500, I really loved the V8 in the is500 but it just felt a bit too disconnected to me. M340i was nice but wasn't a fan of bmw depreciation.

Love the wheels...they look like a nice update to the 07-08 Acura TL Type S Wheels. Also really like this color combo. It seems like such a well-balanced package for what it has and how it is priced. The lack of a sunroof option is the biggest downside for me. It's kind of surprising since Honda/Acura has usually had moonroofs on their sporty/upper trim models even as far back as the early 90s in the US. Even my grandfather's 2000 Honda Civic EX had a moonroof.

@@Marbind I like how they look too... But I prefer how they did them on the FL5 type R. Laugh all five still has very wide rear hips and front fenders, but they're just more smoothly integrated. I guess it's just personal taste

good luck. Dealers will price gouge the heck out of the Type S. Anything under $10k "market adj fee" will be non-existent. You have to want this very badly to bend over at the stealership.

Real sports car enthusiasts finds this as a win. Sunroofs are another point of failure, when you open them they add a lot of wind noise, reduce structural ridigity, raises center of gravity (not good for handling). Want sunroof? There is a whole world of choices to pick.

Looks like a shoe. They missed the mark on the front end. Even with the argument for a 4door. 02 RSX best design by far of all integras. At least it’s manual and still a car.

Again, I like your videos and admire your intelligence, but I am just Against Cars now. I wish it weren't that way. I wish we could have just the right amount of cars for enthusiasts, hobbyists, and road trippers, but Cars means car dependency. I wish the car loving community would face up to that fact. Or, at least try to rebut it with facts and logic. I'd love to be proven wrong.

@@chrisbrownazyea no kidding, I work out of the downtown core in a large city & I regularly bike but it’s almost impossible to travel 50km out of the city to jobsites where the start time is at 6am & the subway doesn’t operate until 6am…. I’d being looking at commuting by night bus for 2-3 hours over 1 hour of driving. I’m a huge advocate for less cars, but I basically need to own one to work…

That is what makes it great. Many CTR owners are swapping their suspension controller and posting better times in the track. The CTR suspension is so aggressive that affects how it performs in a negative way. Car jumps too much.
