Hello Richard, greetings to you as well :) You can be assured that we will not degrade the products quality for any reason. If and when we were to improve on the existing HQ-4 design, then any cost increases would be added to the cable. Yet these increases will never bring the prices close to the big brands. So we are certain that we will keep the quality vs price a constant :)

When will these cables be back in stock? I like this brand. I own 6 XLR cables from Audioblast, and I was going to order more. Unfortunately, they've been out of stock for a while. (Specifically the Amphenol connector type XLR cables.) I really appreciate the testing conducted in this video, it's what sold me on this brand a few years ago. Would love to see a restock some day!

Hi, thanks for choosing us for your cable needs and accept our apologies for the stock outage. AB cables were introduced to be an affordable yet high quality alternative to expensive, high-quality cables and affordable, low-quality cables. But the price increments of the factory we had the wire production outsourced (the cables were designed by us and also ultimately assembled by us) resulted in the bulk wires no longer being affordable, which forced us to temporarily stop the production. Meanwhile our sister store WORLDS BEST CABLES (WBC) has come up with a starquad cable that is inspired by our HQ-4 cable and is quite affordable. Please try them. Since its just released, most of the lengths are yet to be introduced and if you require a cable other than what is listed in the link, please drop WBC a message using the 2nd link or through their website and they will assist you. link to the cables: www.amazon.com/stores/page/88D30544-84AC-4978-A500-89D11A42B5A5?ingress=2&visitId=46585c51-bb94-4ff4-8d0b-f5309c6179ea&store_ref=bl_ast_dp_brandLogo_sto&ref_=ast_bln link to the WBC website: worldsbestcables.com/ link to the WBC Amazon store: www.amazon.com/sp?ie=UTF8&seller=A2JAH816F3JQTD&asin=B0CJ8WKZFJ&ref_=dp_merchant_link&isAmazonFulfilled=1 Thank you! Demonstration reminds me of longstanding companies resting on their laurels. Sort of like how Intel has been sleeping for the past half decade while AMD actually is moving the products industry forward.. It's nice to see these companies challenged. I'll definitely be ordering a pair of these for my DAC/AMP connection (yeah I know, absolutely preposterous overkill), but if I am going to have a balanced system going, it might as well be supporting this company that cares enough to do a comparison video demonstrating their claims, and offer a nice warranty, and on Amazon for easy shipment. Also seen the RCA 0.5 Foot set, a lovely length and tough to find sometimes for AMP + DAC connections with the quality you guys offer like gauge size and such.

I was wondering about the Audioblast HQ-4 - Star Quad Balanced I would like to know difference between the Amphenol AX3M & AX3F Silver XLR Connectors and the Eminence E311 & E312 Gold XLR Connectors. I realize the connectors are manufactured by two different companies and one is silver and the other is gold. Are there any specifics between the two? Amazon charges more for the Amphenol connectors. I would like to know what would be best for connecting stereo components.
@audioblastcables
@audioblastcables 3 жыл бұрын
Hello Randy, Thank you very much for being interested in our cables. 😊 Yes, you have noticed the 1st difference, Silver pins vs Gold pins. Apart from the aesthetics, there are few features attributed to each plug by this difference. i) Silver is the better conductor. Then comes Copper and then comes Gold. Given this some audiophiles always go for silver connectors (be it RCA, Banana or Spade plugs). ii) Gold is the durable one. So, if you will be constantly plugging and unplugging and the plugs will be kept unplugged for certain periods, then Gold will be a better choice. iii) Due to Silver’s better conductivity, silver is considered to give a brighter tone while Gold a warmer tone. Now to the other big difference, the price. Amphenol is a 100-year-old company with a large market for their products in many industries including defense and aerospace. They have a huge brand presence and they will be charging any cable assembler a premium price for their connectors. Compared to that, Eminence is our own in-house brand of plugs. Given it’s a lesser-known brand and that we have price control over it, it is much more affordable, despite its excellent quality. This connector price difference is what you might observe sometimes. So, given the strengths of each connector is different, we cannot say which is best. But depending on your usage and preference, one will always be most suited over the other 😊 Warmest regards, AB

@audioblastcables

Hi Ric, Thank you very much for considering us for your cable needs. #1 Eminence Connectors is our inhouse connector brand :) No, it has no affiliation with Eminence Speakers. #2 as for GLS, cables like Mogami and Canare are far superior to anything that GLS makes. The Audioblast HQ-4 outperforms even these (Mogami & Canare). So the performance of the HQ-4 is miles ahead of GLS :) We do not think GLS is even starquad (but we cannot verify this as GLS has not displayed any solid information about their cables). Please let us know if you have more questions and we will answer to them to the best of our knowledge. Warm regards, AB

@audioblastcables
@audioblastcables 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Newton, Thank you for being interested in our cables 😊 Please allow us to explain the difference between the Eminence and the Amphenol connectors. Eminence sports, gold plated contacts while the Amphenols have silver plated contacts. Silver is considered to have better conductivity than gold (this does not make gold any less of a conductor and its ranked no.3 after Silver and Copper). Another difference would be, Gold is considered to give a warmer tone while Silver will give you a brighter one. Lastly, when it comes to durability and tarnish resistance, Gold takes the cup 😊 So if you are into warmer tones and are most likely to plug and unplug your cables, Gold will be an ideal match for you while Silver will make a good connection if you prefer brighter tones. Please let us know if you have further questions and we will explain them to the best of our ability. Warm regards, AB

For a car audio system, my amplifier requires a single ended coaxial type cable, basically any twister pair interconnects I own and tested now no longer work. I’m getting crazy interference noise. What’s your recommendation ? I bought some of these cables and it almost seems like there is a built in high pass filter on them. I'm strictly just going by ear but is there any reason why I'm might be hearing less low end and more high end as compared to canare?
@audioblastcables
@audioblastcables 3 жыл бұрын
Hello Koua, thank you very much for choosing us for your cable needs and sharing your questions with us :) In the Canare L-4E6S and many other Star-Quad cables, the Star-Quad 4-Core design helps immensely in cancelling out any EM and RF interference. But this comes at a price. The design increases the capacitance levels of a cable which will directly affect the higher frequencies. The end result will be a slightly less high end, and subsequently more prominent low end tone. Listeners who prefer a warmer tone appreciates this quality while those who like a brighter more neutral tone call it darker toned. This difference can be noticed between the Mogami 2534 (star quad, 4 core) and the Mogami 2549 (2 core). But due to being of a non-star-quad design the 2549 will have comparatively less EM and RF Interference cancelling properties. What we have done with the HQ-4 is, while retaining the Star-Quad design (better noise cancellation than all of Mogami or Canare), we have managed to control the properties that will affect the higher frequencies. With the HQ-4, you will hear the full spectrum of your sound signal, this is the real deal and should be the target of any cable for that matter. With the HQ-4, you will receive the full spectrum signal from your sending device to your receiving device. So, in a standard star quad cable you will hear less highs and more lows, where as in our cable you will hear them both in equal proportions, resulting in a not so overly prominent low end. This is the reason behind your experience. You are not hearing less amounts of high end. :) Please let us know if you have any more questions and we will try to explain them to the best of our ability. Warm regards, AB

No, there's no appreciable difference in frequency response under 20khz no matter which cable you use. You wanna know the cutoff frequency of 1000 feet of W2524 cable is? 400kHz. Good shielding is a thing but no cable is legitimately going to change the frequency response. All these capacitance blah blah time shift effects only matter when you're talking about Mhz Ghz frequencies.

There it says 21 AWG for all the cables. Yes, you have a good point there. Imagine someone uses low purity copper wire or low conductive aluminium instead of high purity copper yet offer a very thick cable and another offers a thinner yet very pure copper wire. Then the thickness won't be an advantage. But if the cables are of similar purity copper, then more thickness means less resistance which is good. @@audioblastcables Wow, I didn’t know I could make a custom order with y’all through Amazon. Very cool! That brings up a few questions if you don’t mind: (1) could I have a custom order of the Gotham GAC-8 snake through WBC? (2) How do the Audioblast cables compare to the Gotham cables since they are double shielded at 100% on both? (3) What exactly is making the difference in the Audioblast cables since they seem much quieter than the Mogami 2534 and Canare L-4E6S but seem to have nearly identical designs and features other than the UV ray protection? Very impressive.

@@matthewhazelwood6520 seems we have missed answering to this message and we are extremely sorry for that. 1) for custom orders, please contact our team directly via the following URL :) Please mention the length and the cable quantity when writing, to check the availability of wire and plugs. www.amazon.com/sp?_encoding=UTF8&asin=&isAmazonFulfilled=1&isCBA=&marketplaceID=ATVPDKIKX0DER&orderID=&protocol=current&seller=A2JAH816F3JQTD&sshmPath= 2) failure to include the GAC-4/1 in the comparison was our mistake (think we were out of stock on GAC-4/1 back then). It should definitely be better than the L-4E6S and the 2534 when it comes to noise cancellation. For the arguments sake let us say it is better at noise rejection than the HQ-4, still it has 1 downside. GAC-4/1 has the warmest tone of all the Star-quad cables (meaning a slightly higher capacitance). But this has made the cable very famous among warm-tone enthusiasts. HQ-4 will have a neutral tone. 3) now that's something the R&D guys never told us. Not even over a drink ;) Warm regards, AB

Dear Matthew, you are most welcome. Being an Australian-Sri Lankan joint venture company, the final assembly of the cable is carried out in Sri Lanka. The HQ-1 wire is outsourced from Taiwan. Also for the best prices for Mogami cables (if you decide to pick Mogami), please check our sister store WORLDS BEST CABLES on amazon.com. www.amazon.com/stores/WORLDSBESTCABLES/page/9F322C6D-770E-4F1B-81F6-D3BE70AECA68?ref_=ast_bln Hope this information will be helpful :) Warm regards, AB

you no longer sell your speaker cables on amazon? what happened?
@audioblastcables
@audioblastcables 2 жыл бұрын
Hi, Thank you for considering us for your cable needs 😊 The matter is related to a production delay, on which we are actively working to resolve. While all the Audioblast cables are designed and assembled by us, the wires have their production outsourced in Taiwan. With the pandemic and the rise of copper prices, the Taiwanese proceeded to increase their prices so much now the cables are almost the price of big Japanese brands. But since Audioblast was found as an alternative to cheap low-quality cables and expensive known brands, selling at these high prices does not go well with our founding principles. Hence, we were forced to stop the outsourcing operation for the HQ-4 starquad cable and several speaker cables including the Figure-8 speaker cables. Ofcourse, we could have moved cable production to a different country at more affordable rates. But then we would be surrendering years of R&D to them in a platter, and within several weeks or months, they would release a cheap copy. So, our top-management came to the difficult but necessary decision to begin manufacturing the cables in-house. Some of the required machinery and materials are already purchased while there's more to come. Given this, some of these cable will be out of stock for the time being :( We are truly so sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you. However, we have 2 of the speaker cables in stock, if they could be any use to you (these are not yet listed for sale, so you would not see them in the store). They are a 4-core (9AWG) speaker cable and an 8-core (7AWG) speaker cable (think of the likes of Mogami 3104 and Gotham SPK8). Please let us know if you are interested in any audiophile grade speaker cables made from those wires 😊 Warm regards, AB

What is the difference between HQ-1 and HQ-4 cables?
@audioblastcables
@audioblastcables 3 жыл бұрын
Hello Steven, HQ-1 is a cable that is used for guitar, bass, instrument, effect pedals and rca applications (for unbalanced connections). It consists of a central conductor and a shield conductor. The HQ-4 on the other hand is a Star-quad cable used for XLR cables, TRS cables (balanced connections) and directional RCA cables (unbalanced connections). It consists of 4 central conductors and a shield conductor. Let us know if you have more questions. Warm regards, AB

Thanks. I'm very hopeful. Why are you answering all of the questions except the hard ones or the ones that really matter? This test only shows EM rejection, what about the electronic flow in the conductor and electronic flow which determines the sound quality. Do you have a website or office address? Having just an amazon page makes you look like another cheap East Asian knockoff manufacturer. PLEASE ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS.

Hello Kimball, thanks for showing an interest in our cables. Also, really sorry for any misunderstandings, they are technically the most recent 2 messages and it was not our intention to give the impression that we only answer the easy questions. 😊 Yes, mostly it is, but if you look around 8:49 you would see a display of technical specifications of the HQ-4 cable along with a direct comparison to industries reigning cables. For me technical details, please visit one of our live amazon cable pages (an example below). www.amazon.com/dp/B07YHGRW4X?ref=myi_title_dp At the moment we are looking into all the available options to build and maintain our own website. So we do not have a website as of yet, but as to where we are from, its Brisbane, Australia. 😊 Your concerns are understood and many thanks for sharing them. In defense of our products let us call them affordable and not cheap. 😉 Most of the big brands keep huge margins and have large marketing budgets and charge the consumer exorbitant prices. At Audioblast we keep a very small margin and have no marketing budget. This helps to keep our overall expenses limited and allows us to sell a high-quality product at an affordable price. As for being mixed up with a knockoff, Audioblast is its own brand (having guitar and speaker cables under its name in addition to microphone cables) and is superior to most well-known brands. A knockoff is a cheap copy usually inferior in quality. Thanks again for writing to us and giving us the wonderful opportunity to clear any doubts you had. Warmest regards, AB

Great video. I have a Denon AVR (3700h), an Emotiva BassX 3 channel amp, and an Outlaw 7000x 7 channel amp. My speakers setup are all in-ceiling. RCL for front stage, x4 atmos speakers, and RL rear surround. I want to add a passive soundbar (Episode ES-300-SNDBR) to the front stage to bring the sound to ear level. My AVR is currently powering all 9 speakers, however, I want the 7 ch. amp to power 7 of the ceiling speakers (front stage and 4 atmos). I want the BassX 3 chan amp to power the lower RCL sounbar. Finally, the rear 2 surrounds will continue being powered by the AVR. First, what method can I use to split the RCL pre-out signal from the AVR, thus giving me an upper and a lower front sound stage? Second, what Audioblast cables do you recommend? I would also prefer Neutrik connectors if possible. Thanks

Dear James, Thank you very much for considering us for your cable needs :) Please verify the following. At present Denon AVR's: Speakers > Surround Back - R > Rear Upper R Speakers > Surround Back - L > Rear Upper L Pre-Out > Height 1 - R > Atmos 1 Pre-Out > Height 1 - L > Atmos 2 Pre-Out > Height 1 - R > Atmos 3 Pre-Out > Height 1 - L > Atmos 4 Pre-Out > Front - R > Front Upper R Pre-Out > Front - L > Front Upper L Pre-Out > Center > Front Upper C And you also need to connect the Emotiva BasX to Pre-Out's Front - R, Front - L and Center? Also what are the distances between the AVR and the 2 Amps? You are using RCA connections with the 7-channel Outlaw amp? Please let us know. Warm regards, AB

@@audioblastcables Thanks for your reply. My setup is as you described. Right now, the AVR is powering all of the ceiling Speakers, i.e, the ceiling LCR front stage. I haven't hooked up the 2 amps yet. They're stacked over the AVR in a rack setup. My goal is to add a passive soundbar so that I can bring down an additional front stage LCR to ear level. I'm not sure how to configure the amps though. Should I power the passive soundbar with the BasX 3 channel amp? But how can I do that while the 3 front stage ceiling speakers occupy the LCR pre-out inputs on the AVR. Should I use the Outlaw 7 ch. amp for the rest of pre-out channels to power the HT 1&2 R, HT 1&2 L, and the ceiling LCR? The AVR can power the rear L&R surround but, how would I add the soundbar? Can the pre-out LCR inputs be split with a Y adapter? I'm wrecking my brain over this! :/ I will be using RCA Cables. Finally, what cables do you recommend? Right now, I still have some 12AWG speaker wire left over. I pretty much need everything else.

Hello Matthew, appreciate your interest in our products. Yes, apart from the company website, we are yet to roll out the 2 branded websites where customers will be able to order custom cables directly. perstaff.com/ To streamline our inhouse operations which is a must for direct fulfillment, we have now begun the implementation of an ERP system. Once that is complete, we will resume working on the 2 websites. We have already purchased 2 domains and accounts with Shopify :) Hopefully by the end of this year, everything should be in place. Till then, we will be fulfilling all and any custom cable orders via Amazon.com (or via THE CABLE MARKET on amazon.co.uk for our UK and European customers). Warm regards, AB
