I think Monte is a smart guy, seriously. He is doing well. Firing him would be foolish. There is a lot that goes on behind the scenes. His patience is exactly what the kings organization needs. He is a stabilizing force working to bring long term health, something the kings haven’t had in years. I am thankful for him. Don’t judge too soon. Also, the kings didn’t make the playoffs last year, but remember we had injuries and likely would have. This is not a completely desperate team and acting like we are would leave us worse off.

Imagine the Haul it would take to get Haliburton now. It would take Sabonis, a young player, and 3 picks. Monte sold too early. I think Fox and Haliburton would have figured it out.

We have sucked for years! That isn’t Montey’s fault. We now have a good team that we are trying to make great with flexibility for the future. I don’t want to go back to how we were so let him do what he has to get us there. We have to give Montey the respect to give him the proper time to build this team without putting our past on him as he did all that. We now have some stability, we have Monk back and we are heading in the right direction. Have a little faith. We shouldn’t make a trade just to make a trade.

The only thing a trade will accomplish is to improve us to hosting a play-in game and mortgaging our future. Prudent path forward is to continue building through the draft instead of trading away picks

I'm not upset. After years and years of bad trades made just because the owner/ GM was being impatient I would prefer to see a slow and meticulous build of a team. My previous 3-year estimate was before Monte got an extension, so now he doesn't have to fear for his job and force a move. He's also the best drafter I've ever seen for the Kings and we definitely need to keep that up.

Been saying this for a while: Lauri is the perfect fit. Tall athletic, slasher and threat from 3, much better rim protector than domas playing at the 4, he just makes too much sense. Don't know how we getting him though, unless we sell all our FRpick until 2030, there are much better trade partners out there for the Jazz (sadly).

Giving up the 2028 and 2030 1st round pick just so you can give Ingram a max contract is crazy. Having 3 max contracts would not only put the team into the luxury tax but above the first apron as well. On locked on Pels they are saying a minimum of 3 picks and Keegan or no deal. 😂😂😂Fan bases can be delusional about the value of their own players. Let them keep him and sign him to a max that is going to have negative value before the ink dries.

It's all fun and games until your GM is so "patient" you miss on every player that's worth trading for and you end up missing the playoff's!! How many trades have we heard the kings be in since Monte came? How many have we missed on? ALL of them worth mentioning. The only trade he was successful on is the Sabonis one and no one even knew he was on the market. So there was no bidding war. Just think about the free agents he was "patient" on and missed on! Could have had Kuzma last summer for nothing instead of having to give up something. Again Monte couldn't/didn't close. So my question is what evidence is there to make anyone think Monte can "win" these games? In my opinion which all of this is, None!! The only trust I have in him at this moment is he can resign or trade for some none game changers like Alex Len or Durtae. I hope/pray he changes my mind this off season.

Do you know what? I believe we are not going to made a trade, but we just wait for all teams to weaking themselves by making bad trades, so we save money and still be better next season by not participating!
