Great hand washing tutorial plus other options! We pack one week or less worth of clothing no matter how long we're traveling (even for years). We wash our laundry in all different manners: washing machine at Airbnb, washing machine at hotel, laundromat, laundry service. I could hand wash, but I haven't really needed to in years. We also pack almost exclusively Merino wool, which makes air drying so much easier! 🌸Heidi

Almost awesome. I wish someone would make a bag like this but also but a small dedicated camera section on it that can be removed if wanted. Also a place for a tripod. Now it would be the best.

Hi @MauriceMoves, just wanted to ask. Those red cable keeper/manager that I saw on your videos, where did you bought those? Or you made them yourself? Are they paracord or shockcord?

It’s so much easier to get into a habit of cleaning as you go instead of letting it get to disaster mode and then trying to clean it all up.

I bought one of these on the basis of this review, mainly for the outside flap, but in practice it’s of very little use. The actual space available makes sense only for documents or slim devices like a phone. Even my laptop doesn’t fit in there when the case is full.

Decided to fly into narita as though the airline I'm flying with did offer a flight into Tokyo via haneda it would arrive 4 hrs after the flight to narita would so it cancels out the train ride time difference between the two with 3hrs to spare so yeah hahaha.

Lovely video. Loved the airport stick figure man! So clear and concise! Maybe someday you might want to make a video in how to find an escalator or elevator in a big Japanese train station. Sometimes you do have to walk around but generally you _CAN_ FIND an elevator or escalator in large central train stations. You have to look out for the signs.

Might want to check with the seller to see if they are aftermarket dials - the 6010 is in the wrong place and the 70M is to tight. 6139 are notorious for inauthentic aftermarket parts.

❤❤❤ your video is awesome. BUT you have missed out and not explained the process of obtaining aShore Pass/Visa that I shall be looking forward during my 18 hours stopover at Haneda Airport next week. Please help me understand step by step process on how & whom to approach for getting Shore Visa so that we can explore Tokyo during this long stopover of 18 hours. Please don't miss any step & directions to approach the officials/office/desk concerned in an easy way for reader of understanding.

Thanks for taking the time to make this video! Have you noticed that using laundry detergent with enzymes wears down the natural lanolin / anti-odor properties of Unbound Merino shirts faster? I'm also curious about all that wringing, do you notice it stretching out your shirts over time? I'm interested in improving my own travel laundry process based on your experience. (You were the one who got me into Unbound Merino in the first place and I've been so happy I made the switch! 🙏🏻)

When washing I don’t wring (with twisting motion) the clothes to remove excess water. Wringing distorts the fibers as well as the seams. Instead, I squeeze as much of the water out and hang the clothes using a hanger in laundry clips that l’ve modified to have a hook. I carry laundry clips with hooks to accommodate just about any situation to hang stuff in the bathroom. If the hotel room has a patio with chairs, I’ll discretely hang the clothes outside to dry.

Great tips. I'll just add that when I roll my still-damp clothes in a towel, I do it on the floor. Then I step on it - step, step, step, step... all along the rolled towel. It's amazing how much water you can still wring out of your clothes this way, and how much it speeds up the drying process.

Yes, the Japan Rail Pass is more expensive now but if you're doing any amount of travelling in Japan it's STILL the way to go - so have to disagree with what Maurice said. If you're travelling around Japan - you'll be way better off with a JR Pass.

Your channel is amazing. Thank you so much for many reviews including this one. I got this Alpaca bag about a week ago and I absolutely LOVE it. I store my 14" MacBook Pro inside, along with an A5 leather journal + cover, leather field notes wallet (a bit smaller than a travelers brand notebook), iPhone, keys, a Maxpedition pouch with all kinds of "just in case" tools/grooming/emergency supplies, AirPods, sunglasses, and several large fountain pens. In the external zippered compartment I carry my 11" iPad Pro in a Logitech keyboard case. And in the hidden back pocket I carry an ID badge on a lanyard. I can wear this on my motorcycle without fear of water ruining my electronics. I wear it as a sling in front when on my motorcade or driving a car, and when walking it's on my back (sling mode) or on one shoulder (messenger mode). It is the most comfortable and wisely designed EDC bag I've ever used...and I have tried so many. It even doubles as a handy desk surface (due to its contoured shape) when placed face down underneath my laptop. Sooo versatile.
