Hi Emily - thanks for featuring the mod! Just to mention that several of the issues you highlighted (e.g the missing sound, pit crew, pit stops, default setups, etc) are due to changes made to the game by Reiza since the mod was last updated (May '23). We're working on another update to address this stuff and also add a few more bells and whistles - which will hopefully be ready fairly soon.

AMS2 is my go-to sim at the moment. The last year or so for this sim have been great. We have seen lots of improvement to the AI and physics, the VR implementation is great, and the IMSA partnership they announced means there is a lot to look forward to in the coming months (I think they said new content would be coming this Summer).

AMS2 is a great sim but sadly underrated, so thanks for bringing it to us!

Emily, your first two issues you are correct the defaults are giving you bad impressions. Its not the bias its the brake pressure and as for steering that has to be tuned as well. Depending on your pedal setup it will def vary same with wheel for sure. There are a lot of adjustments I had to do to get mine feeling right. I use a Simagic wheel base and Asetek Pedals.

Nice driving! I bought Forza "8" for PC, assuming that the IndyCars would be in the game like Forza 7 on my xbox did a decade ago. I got all the dlc to be sure .. n no?! iRacing is wicked expensive, I might get this game instead of Asetto Corsa. What you think?

Hi, I’m new to AMS2 modding but I’ve downloaded and installed CM. I’ve installed this mod but I can’t see it in my car folder. Am I missing something? Could someone help please?

Used to have that braking issue with every car when the game first came out. They eventually sorted it but obviously this is a mod so 🤷‍♂️

Thanks for the info on doing Indycar racing with AMS 2. I do have the game but have not done any mods yet. I don't think AMS 2 has all the tracks to do a complete Indy series racing. I go to RFactor 2 for my Indy racing and and have the most complete tracks and cars to do a fun series racing. I do some of the older years of Indycar racing with RFactor 2. If I am wrong about AMS 2 being incomplete far as all the tracks available, let me know. Just having a car set and a few of the tracks does not make it a complete Indy series. i am still waiting for that dedicated Indycar racing game to come out, if ever. I did Papyrus Indycar racing game many years ago and that was the most complete at that time. Though it did not do multiplayer online server racing with the game - only 2 player modem racing. So what do we install to fix the sound

anybody has a problem with this game where you constantly have to delete wheel profile and set up again because the wheel is not responsive or there is no force feedback at all??

I still can’t get use to the weird way AMS2 drives. In the Indy car and some other open wheelers, it feels like the main turning wheel up front is in the center of the nose. Probably why the FFB isn’t meshing with your brain. Next time imagine a center wheel up in the nose and then the FFB makes more sense.

I have that game, but I deleted it a long time ago. It is nice to see them make another mod. Not really my kind of racing, but it is good to see more variety.

AIs in AMS2 go too frequently in the grass. Lap 3 of the Indy race, 2 cars go in the grass turn 1, and another one goes in turn 3, and another next lap turn 1 etc

Still completely digital and janky behaviour during oversteer especially power oversteer. Sad that, 20 years later, only Netkar Pro and Live for Speed, possibly Beam NG (and, sometimes, Assetto Corsa but it's very mod dependent) have anything resembling natural, intuitive behaviour in this very important area of physics.

By the way, when you say "my brain isn't configured for this type of FFB", it's not just the FFB. You can turn the FFB off and it'll still be a totally different driving experience with regards to controlling the cars, doing what they want you to do, avoiding what they don't like, how to extract the performance for the best laptime, etc. It's a completely different physics engine regardless of just pure FFB. This can be said about switching from any game to another (different physics engines) unless they're using the same physics engine (eg. RF1 & AMS1, RF2 & LMU, PC2 & AMS2, etc.).

AMS2 can be great but its so hit and miss. It has never felt right like its in perpetual beta...the mechanical grip cars are the best aro cars all feel really strange. The uI is a mess, triple support is broken, the calibration looks like its from 94 and never works right the UI just eats inputs somtimes. The Classic cars and tracks can be so much fun to mess around with. Any serious racing gets destroyed by terrable BOP and bugs on track ie, the pits are a craps shoot, tire ware just drops randomly, messing the finishing order up, throwing penalties where there are none, its a mess but my goodness it looks pretty! I might add the community at large and the devs seems to be in total denial about all of it, and no one seems willing to admit its faults, and so it continues. I messaged for help and they told me they think there are not that many triple users anyway and so it does not matter... also totally aware of the calibration issues for high-end pedal sets and bases but toald me they need to think about controller players and its not gonna change either... That siad its also a blast to play around in has real potential if they can get serious about fixing all the issues it has had since day one.. the basics need to be tightened up big time! and it is waaaaay overdue, a balanced multiplayer and UI that actually works might be a start.

Love Ams2, it's for me not as good as iracing, just a tad off but bang for buck is the best sim out there. I don't understand why it doesn't get more traction? Only thing I can think of is the lackluster online side. Racecraft is great but criminally underpopulated
