It honestly makes me want to make a video on this game about my personal experience, and why I thought it was going downhill, etc

1. Championship was unplayable after the first or second year(power creep). And while Dream match was great, it was only a time limited mode, and they should have given PVP more attention. 2. Power creep was crazy but because of the lack of content, you only need 2 or 3 of the current meta characters at a time and you were set for like half an year. The rest of the time the game was reduced to a collection book for characters...

For those still playing till october… With the new shop that uses coins for purchases, you can farm rubies using account rank up (100 rubies each level, and 500 rubies every 5 levels up achievement). Just keep farming in inferno ash saga final stage for 10k exp per 10 battles using autoclear. Its pretty fast. 1k rubies every 5 level up. Its a grind but its free2play… till october when the game shuts down. Still able to get this UE or EX that u missed. Final 4 months just for own fun. 🤷🏻‍♂️ P.S. Rank achievements max out at 500, so farm while its available!

Your channel was one of the reason why I kept playing time after time when I was about to give up on this game. When the A6 and A7 came out, that's when the power creep got ridiculous. I remember watching you dumping hundreds of dollars on Leona. There was also a time when I was looking at my A5 Akuma and how fast it became irrelevant. I stopped playing about a year ago. I came back to watch you pull on fun characters once a while. Every game has its ups and downs, let's celebrate the memories we all shared at one point. It's been great while it lasted.

Netmarble focusing on his characters and collab every year and year. Netmarble did not focusing on rewards and main part was the banner luck. Free to play players cant afford much of these banners so they save and save amount of rubies for draw some character but they did not get as much they want. So i think that's the major issue of this game .

Maybe if they added more story content instead of loads of rush dungeons that were tied to characher banners would have been a good start. It just that the content got stale, and the rewards was poor or absent. The game had become a character slot machine at the end of the day with poor rates and pick ups showing up once in a blue moon. Sad to see it go

This is the longest game I've ever played in mobile. A couple years ago, there was not even memories. I was so happy when i get rainbow souls because it is the premium item at that time to upgrade the fighters. And then we have immunity and then we have damage decrease skill and then we have shields. When we only have hyper armor and pure immunity damage, immunity is the way to go for pvp because immunity isn't destroyed when you get hit by 3 or 5 pg and i happily wrote my findings on this channel comment so that everyone know bout this and forgo is a true bro because he really happily spread this info in his videos and im very happy for it. Even though i rarely comment on your video i make sure to watch your vid. You are the second channel i follow/subscribe after luca a couple years ago about this game, and i really love how you talk about mechanic and play this game. I just love listening to you streaming the game and sometimes talk about little bit about your life and when you're fallen ill but still streaming. Power Creep Summon Rate Split Banners Rewards Drop Rate Outdated content Multiple Versions for the same characters instead of focusing on their OG teams

- I feel like there should have more variety, especially with the power creep you said. Honestly, I'm glad that I could reach 10-20 T damage thanks to the UE chars with supports, but even then these bore me over time. I kinda wish that there'd be something that can cater the UE chars, maybe additional damage requirements or something? However, your idea of selector-type rewards for Guild Raid would be awesome. - Man, I wish that they could play more with minigame stuffs for each banner. They could've bring back Boss Challenge every 2, 3 or 4 updates to rotate things up (beaten Omega Rugal with Isla and Orochi Leona), bring more variety with whatever minigame they could bring, this goes to core game modes as well. Remember when they had an all-new Ash Saga TA? I wonder where it is now... - Character roster is kinda messy and lacked for some reason, especially with new rarities being introduced. I was curious about the other characters, either new or a version of the existing one, when the game's highest rarity was the good 'ol purple FES border. BS and SS changed the game, then come EX which we'd be promised a entire KOF XV roster as the EX chars, only to find out that the promise got thrown out to the window thanks to the UE. It's sad, considering that they have the power to include even the not-so-popular character, doesn't help with people going to complain that the character isn't popular enough though... - Since they're doing Ash Saga, they could've introduced Story Mode chapters centered on that quickly. I kinda hate that they'd bring a new story mode chapter in eons. - And yeah, it all goes down with mismanagement and lack of content. I love this game, not gonna lie, but I can't lie that the content for each update is kinda repetitive and I kinda wish they could've done more in that department. - And I hate this game dies before we'll ever get Allstar Archive. Maybe the Allstar Archive is the friend we make all along?

The Inclusion of EX and UE Killed the game SS and BS where the main Power House heck you literally use a Golden Border or Fes Border Character to beat those SS and BS. Overall it's bad Decision Making they should have Hired someone that would make a Road map for the game. Edit: I'm just waiting for them to make this Offline. Despite the Low Chances it would but it will be a Big Gift if they do.

I have been playing since 2019 and got a few burnout throughout the period of me playing this game but after this update i have mixed feeling. I knew this game will shutdown someday because of the powercreep but the memory and joy i got from this game is real. I wish I could start back during the period where only fest existed and no awakening system.

Yeah the love they put into character animations and kits was what kept me in this game just wish they did that with every other aspect of the game

For me as someone who has played since the launch of global, and who spent way too much money on this game.... the game died for me when I realized I needed to get at least 1 UE character of every color to A5..... all so that I get to grind a boring repetitive game mode (plugin plants). With the backdrop of everything you said in this video (which I 100% agree with), that was the straw that broke the camel's back.

I think everything went south when Awakening and Imprint Stone Crap happened. Not to mention later one, they introduce LIMITED TIME EXCLUSIVE IMPRINT STONE as well... AIN'T NO WAY I'm gonna spend those kind of stuff.

Look. Terry and Isla are at "Hold Skill N to Win." They really can't make this any more power creeped. I'm also at the point where I'm breaking some of the scoring mechanisms. That said... KOFAS SUCCESSFULLY ACCOMPLISHED EVERYTHING WE NEEDED IT TO. SNK is healthy, and we have a world with KOF XV, SamSho Rollback, and City of the Wolves. It put KoF back on the map, and now you see characters like Terry and Mai EVERYWHERE. Big companies are making in-game IP collabs in actual, commercial fighting games now. They almost saved SoulCalibur and renewed interest in titles like Virtua Fighter to be sequelled. And it carried us from the dark ages of MvC:I to what I might consider the greatest fighting game Gold Rush since 1999. This was a reasonably successful game, and it's a fitting time to close it.

The kof developers never once tried save this game at all, their excuse of saying they dont know what characters to make now is a complete lie they never listened to player feedback at all or we would of actually get new content and get global streams back, screw netmarble will never try any of their games new ever again

i gotta stress again that SNK and Netmarble just chose not to renew the license. i definitely think the powercreep and diminishing returns on rewards led to that decision but it is what it is. now i just need to wait for people to make a private server for this game. i'd like to continue playing it even when it's gone lmao

I think main reason was that they ruined pvp. PVP was literally unplayable after the boss syndrome update. The characters became too braindead. Now you might say dreammatch is pretty good and i agree but the championship mode was wayy better and much more hyped untill they made all the characters brain-dead. I remember those days when fes nameless, adelheid and rock howard were meta. Those were the golden days of pvp. Every time a new fes character was released i always got excited and used to look at where they stood at in the PvP tier list. The Boss syndrome update killed the pvp for me

They should have brought back all the old collabs just to let us complete the codex as a last hurrah.

Agree they are many game modes they've done on it like tower of trials but it requires a bronze fighter only,Silver fighter only ,gold fighter only , fes fighter only, SS Or BS only,EX Only, And UE only they should've done this a long time ago maybe the game will revived if they do that they will give us some more rubies and some Specific Needs if you know what I mean but it's too late for that now because the game is shutting down.. I'm just think about that idea recently. And you can play the game offline mode offline mode is where you can enjoy story mode (Main story) ,dungeon, tower of trials, and so much more and if you're online you can play PvP, Event story,Summons and others. And also They add a Original series In the game Not A UE and EX Bullsheet haiya. But it's too late for all of that because the game will shutting down soon

The fact they put Loli Chang as the final character broke me. She is my fav character and i still use her for fun in story mode for so many years

I would say that more than blaming the developers, is blaming the higer ups in Netmarble. You can tell the love devs put on the characters, art, animations, etc. But those who make the final decisions are the big bosses. Maybe I'm wrong, but usually that's the reason.

I played this game since it was released. But stopped at 2023. When i downloaded the game this year i thought that Bs And SS was the most powerful characters until i discovered UE and EX characters. Once i gotten orochi leona the game started to feel boring and not competitive. And most of the times i put the game on auto mode and play other games. Back in 2019 aspect from story,boss showdown and competitive was perfect. Im really broken down ever since they announced that they are shutting down the server when i thought they are gonna make the game to it's best again. It hurts

To me I always feel the summon rates are dog shit low. I mean if we only need to pull for 1 time for each character that's fine. But they make these awake mode where we need to pull 8 times in order to max out the character. The average chance of pulling the character in each banner to pity is 2 times in 200 tries. This mean we need to spend loads of rubies on each banner in order to max out. This is the reason it turn me from a regular spender to a FTP.

They could’ve made Dream Match a weekly thing with rewards and then you can get points(like those battle passes) for $2 to get 2000 rubies. Probably that way the money could’ve kept coming in. Also to be able to buy EX/UE memories to max out characters for $20 a memory per month.

SOOOOO TRUEE!! no fighting game compare to this! I use to remember when i was a kid I always play the game mode in Tekken 3 Tekken Force Mode, then when I saw this in mobile MAN! You don't know how happy I was...It's like Tekken Force Mode gameplay with KOF characters AND with Collabs..Just wish other game company will take over with better ideas.... game is dying but my mind still waiting for collabs...Lol was saving my 200+ rubies to spam the next collab but...oh well

This game was absolutely great at its release. However, with the addition of many things, it made many players hard to catch up and even whales find it boring already.. All proceeding updates powercreep here and there without doing anything to make the previous contents (esp fighter and cards) useful. It's real sad to see this game closing. It had a lot of potential but sadly it is what it is. Hopefully, offline version will be heard (but I doubt) 😅

The game ended for one reason only. Characters. Me being a fighting game fan I loved the hell out of this game. Every fighting game franchise I love was in this damn thing. But that's the thing. Who plays fighting games right now? Sure it is bigger than it has been. but all I ever see is everyone wanted anime characters. The devs stuck with fighting games instead. 6 years however is a long fricken time for a mobile game. I remember the devs being shocked how big the game was still.

thats why i left the game like years a go after playing for nearly a year and build up a solid roster and all! the power creep was pushed HEAVY!

This game to be frank had quite alot of potential, they just had to focus more on boss battles, but it went really down to hell with the UE Characters. The EX was kind of the tip of iceberg, they should have maintained good amount of power and just created more characters apart from the very odd genderbend characters, they could have made what if or their own different versions spin-off of characters instead of just creating the same characters of different chapters. The only thing I will give them props for was the Boss Syndrome and Special Signature era, it was a good amount of power creep not too much just the right amount, it was fun overall. Wished that they just had more consideration on how to make money in the long run, because of their extreme need for quick cash they just basically screwed it all.

I used to like their pvp (during covid year 2020) when they still no OP cards, OP inner & etc.. but since they released those 1 hit KO & Ultimate barrier.. I knew this game will be fck up.. still sad seeing this ;(

Its simple they fired travis stopped the global streams and stopped advertising and supporting streamers to show off the game, then they stopped even making new content at all and just do recycled events

From Purple border to Bs to Ss To Ex to UE while the gold border characters were left completely useless.....yh this game was destined to box itself into a corner.

1. unified banner was he worst dicision as it forces higher rarity to happen 2. syncing up to speed with korea and jp server killed the games potential as jp and korea could have had ttheir own collabs since global is much harder to get copyright done. so having jp kr to get collab first and global to get them later = we get better collabs. 3. power creep is a thing , but also mostly the devs not playing tthe game and listening to the wrong comments kinda killed the game, as some troll said banners should be shorter coz everyone summons everything day 1, well guess what, out of all the bugs, they decided to listen to that and shorter banner times by like 10 days lol. 4. bugs take too long to fix, th fact that championship is still in BETA, for like 5 years.

the luck/rate just horrible as usual, and the rewards were just too underwhelming, hope next one we'll get event rubies like 50k-100k since theres no going back again for the one last time.. i do hope they add Kyo and orochi leona too alongside isla.

When this game was released I thought this is going to last like Marvel Future Fight. It stings knowing it has massive potential to last longer. Powercreep can be addressed by fixing the previous characters or at least can be transformed to UE levels. The Pull Rate is Terrible, every new banner we do have people complaining about it. Repetitive game modes doesn't give great rewards. You have to A3 Characters to feel that the Pull is worth it and Newer Set cards are necessary to feel the power. Collab Characters are getting useless after a few months of being introduced.

6 years is a long time tho. Mobile games are not designed to last forever unlike console games.

Not giving us good content and balanced characters was their problem.

Fix -Rng is awful from the pull, reward from colossal - dream match is crap,I died I'm 2 seconds after the start begins with hp still full and didn't know what happened - epic quest for phantom igniz is ridiculous ,by the time I have the buff needed and get phantom igniz,there are much stronger fighters and stones. - They use powercreep that they thought all of us are "contenders" that like to compete,to prove who is better ,rather than develop other characters that have unique abilities , power creep is always the solutions. - PvP has turn into mugen fight that I think is ridiculous, pressing button like insane,I just thought like devil jin combo ,using skill 1 and 3 as fast as possible is ridiculous too. - pretty long and boring story in new banner with the same enemy's and low rewards. - the madness of ue core and skills and type like fusion, overpower,momentum,ue,pure,omg, even I didn't understand all of them until now, we want to play ,not study, it's not a tactical game, make it simple - make balance between fes,ex,and ue, not each new banner have higher damage than previous - only several fighters get update like kyo,we have fes,SS,ex,ue, while others like Mr karate only fes, not to mention a lot of the character didn't attention at all Even though there are many creativity and collabs,but it fails to keep away the game from monotous,repeating and boring day to day.

In my mind, when they release solo characters, ue kyo and ue isla that they are promoting solo levelling they new game.

3 and 4 star characters (bruh), they should only have 1 character each and only allow us to choose the skills. So sell skins; and the PC version should be here at launch. Goty.

I think the game failed because you needed a lot of rubies to build a character. If only they added ways to be able to buy memories like once a month, probably a lot for people would’ve bought it. This is a collecting game other than just PvE/PvP. There was no way to build a character unless you are in an event for 20 days. Dream Match was the best thing tho.

This really does stink. Forgo you always talked about PowerCreep and I saw it. Unfortunately though it didn’t kick in for me until I got a character that completed Guild Raid. When I could solo that with no new content I knew a Huge Problem arose! As for the excuse of not having any characters to pull from I say: Untrue! There are too many that didn’t even get FES versions let alone EX or UE. Perfect example: ‘94 American Sports Team! You can’t make them FES or EX!?!? Come on!! That’s ridiculous! An amazing Heavy D or Brian Battler would’ve been great. Also, I accepted some characters were NEVER going to be made better. My exhibit of this is a character considered the WORST FES IN THE GAME, yet his team members were remade in the 4th Anniversary: Orochi Yashiro. I know a lot of people don’t like him but you don’t EVEN TRY to make him better?? Just SAD!! And this goes for most characters in the KOF roster. ‘95 Rivals? ‘98 Old Masters?( Saishu needed an upgrade!) Just a few examples of how much potential never was fully realized in a Great start of my favorite mobile fighting game.

I still pray and hope for a miracle that Netmarble cancels the KOFAS EOS. God is great anything can happen.
