I used to dress like this in my 20s. My boyfriend at the time was an engineering nerd and looked accordingly 😂 I'm also well educated and have a good job but just liked dressing up. Definitely wasn't dressing for other guys but I liked to dress nicely to fit the mood of where we're going to. I like seeing my jewelry sparkle in the soft lighting or the colours of my outfit match the beautiful surroundings. I don't expect my husband to dress up because he can do whatever he wants lol. If you want to talk about fashion, there is no greater social construct than fashion. Okay, maybe fashion and money are on equal levels of social constructs, and I suppose the next level below that is beauty. On a day to day basis, when I am not working, I'm very much a t-shirt and jeans or t-shirt and shorts kinda guy. But if I'm going to some special event or going out on a date, I will at least wear a dress shirt or sports jacket. So I don't knock these "nerdy" Asian guys for not caring about their appearance or style. Because I'm basically one of them. And in terms of ABGs or attractive women in general, I have noticed that when hot women were young, they tend to chase after the "bad boy" or the muscle bound guy. Or be attracted to the loudest, funniest guy in the room. But once they get a little older, like by their late 20s, early 30s, they start looking for stability, the guy with a good job, maybe owns his own business, and that is who they want to settle down with.
