I'd like to see libertarians be more forthright in speaking out against the fascism of the Democratic Party. Libertarians are supposed to stand for liberty.

Michael recktenwald has made some good talking points I believe Kennedy Shanahan winning the election would give the libertarian party a much better platform moving forward than democrat or republican winning I don't know enough history of the libertarian party to put up a good argument Florida voter 24:39

I've only voted L my whole life for POTUS and I'm a party member, but I just don't know if I could stomach Rectenwald because 1. The Libertarian mainline on immigration has always been that border control impedes freedom of movement. For him and Mises to try and use that as a wedge to turn this party away from that is a bit disturbing. 2. While Libertarians often rightly share concerns about gender affirming surgery being offered to individuals at too young an age, Rectenwald's history as an author in the "anti-woke" tradition has often rendered his rhetoric on trans people as not only too corrosive for regular pro-LGBT voters outside the party but also queer Libertarians like myself. I'm endorsing Chase Oliver in 2024 and would probably vote for Mapstead or Ter Maat in the general as well if nominated. But along these lines I might not support Rectenwald or Josh Smith and would instead consider Kennedy or writing myself in if it were them.
