I support libertarians if and only if they agree to be total 100% Anarchists. While Anarchy does not maximize justice, it is still orders magnitude fairer than hypocritical conservative-controlled governments or weak spineless cowardly centrist-controlled governments. I also thank Libertarians for coining the phrase "initiation of force". "Initiation of force" forms the basis of ALL ethics, of ALL reductionism: keeping track of who initiates a force OR AN INJUSTICE, IN ALL CASES, NO MATTER HOW MUCH THAT UPSETS THE STATUS QUO, versus those who fight back against initiation of force.

The rest is regulations that control what products businesses actually make , consumer pricing is done bythe govt, they say what the price of wheat, meat, gas,and oil will be, they legislate so that we are taxed in quadruple. Insurance is a controlled tax. I could go on. A free market works on its own, with no guidance. It is the perfect barter system, with the exception of conumers pay money, while businesses provide the product.

Actual libertarians embrace the anarchic principle and strive towards that. And that's the issue we have: We have many embarrassed conservatives and minarchists that are making arbitrary compromises to the detriment of not only other libertarians, but to everyone's quality of life. We also have many self proclaimed anarchists, which is probably 96 percent of people who identify as such, who aren't even anarchists because they are caught up in demanding outcomes requiring planned society. Anarchism is a position against authoritarianism. It is not a substitute for ideology or principled action. If we can start with freedom of choice/freedom to dissent, then, and only then can we have a foundation for exploring what works best.

Oregon is broken for many reasons alongside drugs. Oregon protects it's poor and addicted better than it does it's clean and hardworking people. It's easier to be homeless there than it is to work. Not to mention, they refuse to let people fail: it spends a ridiculous amount of money saving people from overdoses and protecting the homeless. These people keep surviving just enough to weigh on the common people, but not enough to contribute.

The people, which means no regulations made for the large corporations to have an advantage over small businesses. Or no handouts to the .1% cause they caused a bubble, they will have to bear the costs, not the people.

Building wealth is what eliminates poverty, which means low taxes and cutting unnecessary regulation, not turning on the money printer (which is just an indirect tax), or taking it from the 1%, who will just put the cost onto consumers. and "normal needs" doesn't mean anything without criteria.
