The senior management that set those unreasonable targets for this branch have wiped their hands clean. It's easy to merely point finger at this manager, but those people above him pushing exorbitant targets are left off the hook. This manager might be replaced, but whoever replacing him will be faced with similar challenges and will eventually turn into another toxic manager

So this is the problem “the attitude” not one mid level manager like Pushpal. Off course he is an idiot and needs extensive training as a manager. But the management…. I have worked with Indian employers and US/EU employers and there is a marked difference in work culture here and there, while India has a prevalent "sir ji" culture, for US/EU all employees are treated on the same level and this is primarily because of the laws and regulations that protects the employees in those countries, whereas here, we have regulations in name only and it also gets topped off by the exploitative mentality of people in power like this person. The system needs to be changed from top to bottom, only then will we stop seeing such videos, this was terrible - to actually have to sit and take crap for a person like this for the sake of our jobs.

This is nothing compared to what my friend, who is a former employee, told me what happens during meetings. Juniors get blatant threats, and constantly abused (literal gaali galoch)... happens in many corporate banks, especially in insurance dept. But what I think is that this type of culture is common in many private sectors--not good for mental health.

I personally feel that India falls significantly behind Australia or the USA when it comes to work culture. I find myself regretting my decision to pursue my MBA here. Despite graduating from a top MBA college, the seniors in my company treat me with disrespect. I am required to work long hours, usually 10 to 12 hours a day, and even work on Sundays to prepare for the upcoming week. To be honest, life in the Indian corporate sector feels extremely challenging and frustrating. Actually I have made up my mind to pursue another master's degree in the USA next year and plan to settle there permanently.

How can he expect that Bank products can be sold at will, and only reason they are not, is because of laziness of the salesman. Like literally their could be multiple reason for this. The bank branch does not have enough wealthy customers to buy those products, the product itself lack features in comparison to competition from other banks, the economic situation is risky, etc. Like he believes it's not being sold because of lack of effort from managers, shows his lack of intelligence. And the fact, that he exposes himself on video, also proves that. 😂
