Why Tiny and Dingodile worked for Cortex (Stop Motion Animation)

It's been a while since I made an animation, and this time I tried a new technique. I used a lot of digital manipulation to make the characters more expressive, changing their eye movement, eyebrows and most importantly mouths for lip syncing.
All of the characters were shot on green screen and super imposed onto digital environments.
So I hope you liked it, let me know in the comments if you'd like to see more animations in this style, or if you prefer it when the figures are shot on set.
This is a little bit of fan-made lore regarding my idea on why Dingodile and Tiny, seemingly henchmen of Dr. N. Brio and enemies of Cortex, would have agreed to join Cortex so shortly after Uka Uka arrived on the scene. I'm not claiming that this is canon, this was just my version of the story.

Such a nice video/episode! 😊 The classic Crash Bandicoot really needs a web show like this, since it never got any feature film or TV show when it was new. 😊 And I agree, the voices are like the original, which is good. 😊 I’d love to see more, please. 😊

Aaaand I'm speechless... This is totally amazing! The script, the voice-acting, the backgrounds, the ANIMATION!!! It's so wonderful to see how much you have accomplished since you started making videos. Not to mention how much I love the original 90s feel you added to this. It's almost like watching an actual cutscene from the original Crash 3. (boy, I could SO use more cutscenes in Crash games!) For me, your best video so far! Keep up the great work, Aaron!

Oh god I laughed so hard at this XD Tropy freaking out about time is pure gold. Poor Brio lmao X'D fx with Uka were great and all the voice work is outstanding. Love the last scene in the warp room, it feels like actual canonical lore, extended cutscenes, such a gift to watch man, wow XD The N.Gin bit is mindblowing. 👌

Thank you so much, that's very kind of you! I'm weighing up the options of doing more animations like this with CGI backgrounds, or going the traditional route of making backgrounds myself.

@@bandicootcollector Well, with CGI there's less limitations of course to what you can do, and it was looking good! But whenever you don't need to, like the operating chamber bathroom tiles, that also works really well XD I'd say it's fine to mix it and just use what you need for the scene!

@@Sara94 That's a great point. I guess that simple "laser eye surgery" animation didn't call for much, but when I did this animation it needed lots of sets and special effects. I feel there's something nicer about the tactile nature of real sets, and also the fun of building and painting them...though it does take a bloody long time, and they're a pain to store.

ever since i saw your movie in 2011, i loved the plot, the space effects, the tragic story of the pig man, and also, the cortex song, i would like a karaoke with the instrumental, and since this short film seems to have more articulated mouths digitally, you can make a remake of the movie, with new voice actors

Tiny Tiger was created by Doctor Nitrus Brio. However it is debatable whether it was him or Doctor Neo Cortex who created Dingodile. Personally I believe that Dingodile was an unfinished creation of Brio's, and Cortex swooped in, stole him, and added the finishing touches to him.

I always thought Cortex made Tiny in secret to fight Crash as a test to see who would collect the remaining crystals in Crash 2. While in the 3rd, he just created Dingodile but this makes a lot of sense. After being forced to join, Tiny got use to Cortex as being his bodyguard in future games and Dingodile continuing to follow as well.

Would’ve been hilarious if this happened. Dingodile: “And…the Komodo Bros?” Cortex: “That…I don’t know.” Camera pans to the Komodo Bros at a carnival throwing knives to one another. Then suddenly Komodo Joe mistimed his throw and Komodo Moe is heard screaming off camera. Komodo Joe smiles sheepishly.

Nice to see these again, the ones I had growing up and still have to this day are the Crash and Spyro figure toys from Carls Jr. 2001 and the Handheld games from Mcdonles 2005. My first Resauras Figure i got was Tiny the Tiger in 2009 and i just got the Resauras Crash jet board figure

Papu Papu never worked for Cortex. Also it has long been debated whether it was Cortex or Brio that created Dingodile. Personally I believe that Dingodile was an unfinished creation of Brio's, and Cortex swooped in, stole him, and added the finishing touches to him.

Well it's fair to believe whatever you want about Dingodile, can't argue with that. But I think you misunderstood the concept of the video, and Marx Plays may have misunderstood some of the law in Crash 2, so allow me to explain: Tiny debuted in Crash 2, but he was working for N.Brio. Cortex only had N.Gin as a henchman, hence employing Crash. Since the events of Crash 1, Cortex didn't have access to an Evolvo ray, or know how to make one, thus I believe N.Brio made Dingodile in order to thwart Cortex again. However, N.Brio doesn't return in the third game, meaning something happened to him... In the scenario I propose Cortex uses the time twister to find N.Brio's secret lair in order to kidnap two of his minions after realising he doesn't have enough manpower to fully utilise its power. They find the lair and capture and tie up N.Brio. Cortex doesn't kill him because his bitter rivalry means he wants to prove himself to N.Brio. Cortex then finds Dingodile and Tiny when they least expect it. Tiny rushes to kill Cortex because he's been trained to fight and thwart Cortex by Dr. N.Brio. Confused, Dingodile asks "Why us?", Cortex then goes through all other possible people he could have kidnapped and forced to work for him [even those who had either left his command, or were never working for him to begin with], and concludes that none of them were good enough. Without a Cortex Vortex he cannot brainwash Dingodile and Tiny to be his loyal minions, and so Uka Uka uses his mighty power and brutally forces them to submit to him. Thus Tiny Tiger [who was once an enemy of Cortex] and Dingodile [who Cortex had no ability to create] begin to work for Uka Uka and Cortex. I hope that clears it up.

@@bandicootcollector True. But unless the past or present developers can confirm who Dingodile was created by, who his creators are is up to the imaginations of individual players. Since Dingodile has been stated to be created by both on separate occasions, I believe that he was originally created by Doctor Nitrus Brio, but Doctor Neo Cortex added the finishing touches.

Haha yeah, Crash 1 credits say: "Pinstripe moved to Chicago, where he owns and operates a city wide sanitation company. He is saving money for his upcoming gubernatorial campaign." I imagined a world in which he did become the Governor of Chicago :D
