I was thinking of the short thing as I was watching the video like those were so fun and they could keep using the characters to make profit! The one where Buzz gets lost on a “McDonalds” or the one where Bonnie has a playdate after christmas and the little boy has like a Dinosaur warrior playset and the main dinosaur falls for Trixie! The one with Barbie and Ken going on a holiday vacation? They are fun!! You could’ve had one where they found Bo-Peep chaos ensues but have it happen nearby so when the main problem resolves (it can be the same as the movie but shortened) Bo and Woody stay together and during school time Woody and Bo can go toy rescuing!

And somebody would say something like: "oh he definitely doesn't smell like strawberries anymore. More like gasoline and dispear." Stinky Pete would be totally covered in marker and other arts and craft stuff. And Sid could still be the garbage man. Maybe that's even how he found lotso and Pete. they would lure the other toys to them because they want revenge for they did to them in the past. (They could even have the climax in an abandoned toy factory like toy story 2 at first was gonna be.) Oh and also in the escape they do the rocket scene from the first movie again but this time with an even bigger rocket and all the toys on it. They probably defeat the bad guys by having Pete and Lotso fall in a shredder and have Sid arrested for "setting off fireworks in an abandoned building." He would say the toys did it but everyone would just laugh at him. "Sure buddy get in the car." Woody will say the this is falling with style line. then when they all get to Andy's new family woody has to decide if he wants to return back to Andy's or go back to living with Bo. At first we think he will decide to go back with bo but then he decides to stay because "he has another chance of making a child happy." Or some BS like that. and buzz will say something like: "I wasn't sure you were gonna stay." "And woody will say: "you'll always have a friend in me." the Randy Newman song plays and the credits roll. Honestly moments like this are why I'm a toy collector and still keep my old figures and toys around. Even though as I grow I may not play with them anymore as I once did, I still try to take care of them. In the future this is likely what I'd want to do, pass down my old toys and "collection" to my next of kin, I may not be the child I once was, but I can still take care of my old "friends", and make somebody else's childhood just as happy as mine was.

Honestly, I'm not excited for Inside Out 2 at all. With the current state of everything, the chances of it being ruined are high.

The chances of it working are slim yes, but the chances of it being better than Toy Story 4 are near 100%. I’m not gonna sit here and make a 6 hour analysis video on why it’s such a horrible movie, but in the guy’s defence, he did make some very solid points. I was kind of thinking maybe they could have it take place years later when Bonnie is older and no longer plays with the toys. She learns that Andy has kids of his own, so to give back to him for letting her have his toys, she wants to give them back, but Woody is missing, so the gang sets out to find him, but even that kind of just sounds like a rehash of Toy Story 2, so I’m sure they won’t do it quite like that. Either way, although I’m now 20 and have grown out of these movies, I am still slightly curious to see where they go with this one.

I think keeping toystory going leaves Pixar in the past while Sony animation is doing new projects despite not making as many bangers.

Yeah. The voice boxes of pull string toys (the kind Woody and Gabby are inspired by, not the kind Woody himself was when actually manufactured in the modern age) are purely mechanical devices. In fact there was an act of sabotage pulled by a feminist terrorist group a few decades ago of breaking into a Mattel factory and swapping all the Barbie and G. I. Joe voice boxes, leading to Barbies talking about combat in deep gruff voices and Joes talking about shopping and fashion in high pitched girly voices. Hilarious, but also mean to the children who genuinely wanted one or the other as intended.

Toy Story 3 made me fall in love with the series on a brand new level. Literally *nothing* about the marketing got me hyped for Toy Story 4 outside of feeling a sense of obligation to see it, and I thought it was *so* bad, I bailed even before the mid-credit scenes; I honest-to-God didn't even care.

I feel like its almost a universal feeling that all children that grew up watching toy story got in some level wayy too attached to their toys and felt/continue to feel awful about letting them go. I have a bunch of old toys that its almost like subconsciously I don’t want to hurt their feelings or abandon them LOL I feel like someone should do a study on that

Being overly attached to material things isn't the healthiest (I know from experience) but I think it does help teach empathy to kids if they imagine their toys have feelings, because then they realise that other people have feelings

East, Toy Story 4 didn’t extend anything and created a story for woody that was never his character. All you have to do is make something up. Show woody that he really does miss being owned and that he wants a new owner

I agree with everything you wrote. This kind of thing has happened with other shows. Like the Simpsons, South Park, Spongebob Squarepants, Pokemon, even One Piece. They all should've had series finales sooner when they had the chance. But no, greed and the desire to stay up top forever is causing these shows to keep going in a stressful way. People should learn that nothing last forever and should just start with something new. Just like how it is with books, they have beginnings, middles, and ends.

Other than the kids, including myself, that grew up watching A Bug’s Life, who would be the target audience, I don’t think it’s well known as the other Pixar properties like Toy Story, Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Inside Out, etc. to do a sequel to. Not many remember A Bug’s Life, and if they did do a sequel, like I said, it would be targeted for a very niche audience: the kids who grew up and remember watching the film now as adults.

Bugs Life is Pixar's tragically overlooked gem. Had it not been tarnished in Lasseter's eyes with the Katzenberg betrayal (Antz) I think it wouldve been used in more marketing ("from the creators of bugs life") and gotten a sequel or prequel in the late 00s or 10s. Shame

Thing is, they replaced Andy with Bonnie in part because they want to push as many female protagonists as they can, as prominently as they can. Same reason they changed Bo's personality completely for 4.

It’s not THAT bad. I agree 3 was the perfect ending to a trilogy so the 4th movie was complete unnecessary. However Toy Story 4 manages, while lesser in quality than the previous films, to tell a heartfelt story with a classic Pixar emotional ending. The only character I’d say it objectively assassinates is Buzz because they made him a complete idiot for no reason.

@@TheAlphazoneYT It was absolutely that bad. All of the toys but Woody, Buzz, and the new ones are left useless sitting in a van, doing nothing. They introduce a heavy topic in what's implied to be toy suicide and treat it as a joke, and do the same to a toy who had been abandoned and traumatized, when they had treated it as such a heavy and heartbreaking thing for Jessie. The directors commentary actually has the directors pointing out multiple things in the plot that shouldn't happen and don't really work, but they did anyway because they wanted to or the plot falls apart. Gabby Gabby is given a happy ending and a half baked "redemption" when she didn't deserve it, and Woody spends the whole movie secretly still hung up on Andy even though HE made the decision to climb in the box with the other toys and the end of 3 to then give ANDY the choice to let him go or keep him. Not to mention the fact that every human is treated as blind and stupid also to not notice the many, MANY times the toys were doing things that should have attracted attention and sometimes were doing in plain view! They didn't even remember which side of Andy's house the driveway was on!

While MCS worked in Frozen 2 for Anna resolving her codependency disorder, it really made Kristoff's proposal disatisfying since she was ignoring him (and abandoned him) for most of the film.

To be fair, Frozen II establishes that Elsa, while living off on her own with the Elemental Spirits and the Northuldran Tribe in the Enchanted Forest, still takes time to visit her sister and her citizens, so there’s a way to still do Frozen III.

@@hunterolaughlin really, i don't see it really being possible. even if the movie starts in Arendelle, Elsa probably wouldn't be introduced until at least the start of Act 2. and besides, Elsa can't abandon her duties to go play with her sister, brother-in-law, his pet, and her son. (sort of like a certain Blue Tank Engine who abandoned his duties to spite his boastful friend, *AND TO FOLLOW A RACECAR AROUND THE WORLD, MEETING ANOTHER ENGINE AND TAKES HER BACK TO HIS HOME TO REPLACE IS MENTOUR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!* )

@@devonjeffers5898 Despicable Me 2 wasn’t that bad actually and did continue Gru’s arc of being a family man in a natural progression with him finding love and a woman to be the “gorl’s” mother. The later films, which I don’t hate, definitely can qualify for “subpar” sequels.

You enjoyed 4 which was unnecessary and not needed. Don’t know why you need to be convinced to see a. 5th movie when you didn’t care about a 4th movie after the third one ended everything

I think the problem with Lightyear is how dull and lifeless it looks compared to Buzz Lightyear of Star Command. Where at least in that movie characters had a pourpose

@@Andyisgodcky Let’s not jump to conclusions. Inside Out 2 can still have a chance to be good. Plus, they are taking a natural progression with the story by focusing on Riley going through puberty and the emotions that come with being in your early teens.

Nope, all 4 did was create something for woody that was never needed and undermined the other movies because it goes against everything woody stood for. It means that his whole speech to Jessie was a entire lie Y’all can’t keep saying this about the 4th movie and act like a fifth one can’t possibly do what the fourth one did. Ice age should have ended with the first one or at least third one.

The first Ice Age movie had heart and a great plot, with good characters and a great character arc. ....then the franchise started to become ridiculous. The movies had their moments, but were they really necessary?

I'm pretty sure the mothership is tying some of their hands. There was a day where maybe that wasn't a big a problem, but knowing the traps Pixar has fallen into, I'm pretty sure their mothership is at work here.

I think part of the problem with a 5 is that I dont think Disney or pixar has ever gone this far with any animated Movie series before take a look if it wasn't 2 it was a 3rd movie ending it off as a trilogy or a back story. Toy story is the one they're going the farthest Disney ever ever done before so I honestly think thats part of the controversy on toy story 4 and 5

My point is that the fifth film of toy story is an example of milking a franchise without giving a franchise an true ending like toy story 3 which is a great way of ending one. Your are right about 4 which I'm agreeing with you like it ruined the ending of 3 where Bonnie is the new kid to play with the toys only at 4 for unknown reasons, she ignoring Woody who is Andy's favourite toy story, gives the sheriff's badge to Jessie and replace him with a spork, that's made by trash. 4 is a okay film but was unnecessary to the franchise which should have ended as a trilogy. That's all I'm saying.

There were other reasons why I did not like TS4. Mainly, how dumb they made Buzz among other things. I didn't like the plushies either. I did like Duke Kaboom, though.

Don't even get me started on Forky.. and how a utensil became Bonnie's favorite toy and Woody being sidelined..
