We know that there are billions of galaxies in our universe and billions of stars in each of them. We have even taken a picture of a galaxy 32 billion light years away. That means even the light from such a distance has enough energy to reach us. If so, the light of these billions of stars must also be falling on the earth. So, it is quite reasonable to ask why nights are still dark.
Let's see why in this video.

നമ്മുടെ പ്രപഞ്ചത്തിൽ കോടിക്കണക്കിന് ഗാലക്സികളും അവയിൽ ഓരോന്നിലും കോടിക്കണക്കിന് നക്ഷത്രങ്ങളുമുണ്ടെന്ന് നമുക്കറിയാം. 32 ബില്യൺ പ്രകാശവർഷം അകലെയുള്ള ഒരു ഗാലക്സിയുടെ ചിത്രം പോലും ഞങ്ങൾ എടുത്തിട്ടുണ്ട്. അതായത് ഇത്രയും ദൂരെ നിന്നുള്ള പ്രകാശത്തിന് പോലും നമ്മിലേക്ക് എത്താനുള്ള ഊർജ്ജം ഉണ്ട്. അങ്ങനെയെങ്കിൽ, ഈ കോടിക്കണക്കിന് നക്ഷത്രങ്ങളുടെ പ്രകാശവും ഭൂമിയിൽ പതിക്കുന്നുണ്ടാകണം. പിന്നെ എന്തുകൊണ്ട് രാത്രികൾ ഇരുണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു? എന്നത് തികച്ചും ന്യായമായ ഒരു ചോദ്യമാണ്.

Have a doubt as per my understanding sun is moving at some velocity around our galaxy centre. Even if we assume that the sun moves in straight line, how light reaches earth if it moves in a straight line. How that geometry works. Can you explain the propogation of light to earth considering the movement of sun. Light takes 8 minutes to reach earth. If we draw that geodesic from when the light emitted from sun to light reaches earth how will it look.

Excent commentary. I initially thought that only red shift increases wavelength thereby not accessible to the eye, because of the doplar effect by the expansion of the universe.. The second effect that is , shattering by atoms in space is eqully important has been rightly pointed out..Thanks for the very lucid presentation.
