WHY WE CAME BACK TO ICELAND (the honest truth)

2 жыл бұрынWant to know the real reason we're back in Iceland? We'll tell you the honest truth in today's video. After traveling the Snæfellsnes Peninsula and leaving our beautiful accommodations in Miðhraun we decide to take a shortcut out to the Westfjords by taking the ferry from Stykkishólmur instead of driving, with a short stop in Flatey along the way. The best part of the ride was finally seeing the puffins! We definitely didn't get an up close view of them, but still watched them fly down and skim across the water! We can't wait to get a closer view of them in the Westfjords. After arriving in Brjánslækur, we make the short drive up to Flókalundur where we will be staying for the next two nights while exploring!

The ferry ride was fun, but a sunny day would have made it perfect. Thanks Papa for sending Chelle and Dan back to Iceland, and I think he did. I'm so fascinated with this place now and the beauty. That totally surprised me. Here's to a sunny day tomorrow!!!

Same, for never having met any of the family, Papa Bingham sure held a soft spot in my heart. They all do in there own right but Papa Bingham defines the word love.

Chell from one daddy’s girl to another (I’m the only girl out of 7 kids) I believe with my heart you were so right, your daddy wanted you to complete your trip. I lost my daddy when I was 32 (20 years ago) and I still miss him but I know he is with me EVERY SINGLE day! My daddy loved to travel too so I love that your traveling the world. Enjoying watching/catching up on your vlogs!

I believe our Dads watch over us always. Years ago I got cancer and did not have insurance that would cover my specific treatment needed. My Dad passed away 7 days later unexpectedly and in his will left me the exact amount needed. It still gives me goosebumps. ❤️

I’m extra nostalgic, I haven’t been on a ferry since 1995. My last ferry ride was between my home province of New Brunswick Canada to Prince Edward Island. I’m going on my first ferry ride since in September.

I always wanted to travel the world but it was never in the cards. Recently in the back of a closet I found a special map. It's black and white. And you scratch the top layer of it to make countries colorful when you visit them. Don't know why I had it but I thought what perfect timing! I already scratched off the countries you visited in previous travels and your current globe touting. I'm excited to see how much of this map with can fill out together! My brother works for BC Ferries and he gets to ride the ferry to Vancouver and back to Victoria twice a day. It IS the best ferry ride ever! Love you guys 👍👍🥰💕

Your videos have inspired me to want to travel! A handful of years ago my parents travelled to Norway/Sweden/ Denmark- and a bunch of your videos from Iceland resemble pictures Mom and Dad took during their trip. Note on the collab drink; the collagen is harvested from fish, and there have been some cases of individuals with serious allergies drinking it without realizing and having severe reactions. So be forewarned.

We take the ferry from Vancouver to Gulf Islands in SW BC all the time. I enjoy it but it's just a normal thing for those of us on West Coast of BC. Glad you liked it so much when you were in Van! :)

You can actually do the car ferry trip on Lake Michigan. It's really cool, about 4hrs. between Michigan and Wisconsin.

Kartoflukrydd is the name of the fries seasoning. It's got tomato powder, onion powder, sugar, and paprika in it. The tasty part may be because it also has MSG . Puffins don't fly, they wobble. I hope you end up catching it on film, but it's like they oscillate up and down in flight instead of going in a straight line.

In New Zealand you can take a ferry to get from the North Island to the South Island. It takes 3 hours and has cafes on board

That’s funny u say that that was the first ferry ride I went on when I was a kid in Canada !! Vancouver to Victoria!! A few summers ago my fiancé and I went to bc and in bc there’s lots of ferries on the roads it’s annoying lol

There are puffins, but no penguins in Iceland.. Although both are birds that share a similar black and white feather coloration, penguins belong to the family Spheniscidae, and puffins belong to the family Alcidae. One of the major differences between penguins and puffins. Puffins fly!
