We lived and traveled in our 42ft fifth wheel for almost 3 years. It was one of the best decisions and experiences of our lives. We do not often share much about RV living and traveling on our socials but the truth is it has allowed us to travel to so many places the past few years. We are ready to move onto the next phase of our lives and continue our travels both domestic and international.
Thanks for watching!

Living full-time in an RV is a challenge and requires a lot of work. We've talked to quite a few folks over the years that were living in an RV because their work required them to change locations frequently and I tip my hat to them. Being a military, we moved a lot during my childhood. I've often thought that when my wife and I retired, we should have gone full-time for a year or two and toured the USA, but we ended up having a cottage on a lake, which we sold after six years. We still love RVing, but health issues and others have made it difficult to take long, multi-week trips but we still enjoy our house on wheels! Good luck as you travel down a new highway!

Thank you so much for commenting. It was definitely not an easy three years, but it was completely worth it and I encourage all who have an interest to give it a try even if for a year or two.

If you & your family were able to do this for three years then you have done more than most families will do in a life time.

Proud of y’all for doing what’s best for your family. We had to cut back on travel due to health issues and also the financial strain, but we still try to find little weekend trips and hikes and adventure wherever we can get it 🖤

Understand; we could had gone full time: but we love our home. And we’re weekenders and we’re empty nesters which is way easier. But we don’t get complicated with an RV: we have a Couples Travel trailer only 26ft and if it were up to me I would go smaller. But I have this big called happy wife syndrome lol .. Now once we retire which is still some years away, we’ll go partial full time; 4 to 5 moths out of the year only. Our homestead will become an Airbnb here in Miami, FL When we’re not here. I understand the business since i have managed a few .. Perhaps get yourself something way- smaller as an RV to use two or three times a year. Best Wishes a first time watching..

Well ya did what was best at the time and now move on for the reasons you said. I and my wife of 40 years have been partiming for 30 plus years and owned motorhomes all this time. We would never travel full time for many reasons . We are glad you made the decisions you have.

Congratulations on three years and 26 or 27 states. Way to go! 🙂 Are you keeping the RV and truck or are they both already gone? My wife and I have a Class A diesel pusher. We only oart time, but we really enjoy it. However it is nice to come home after a trip too. See friends and visit our favorite restaurants. Personally i really enjoy seeing new grocery stores and walking all the isles to see what they have. That is just fun to me.

We already sold the truck and 5th wheel and are moving on to other types of travel! We do already miss the RV and how we traveled in it.

We’re not traveling much right now either. Last major trip was in 2023. Wife and I are currently taking care of my elderly mother. Hopefully some day we can go back to traveling

Where would you leave your RV when you had to fly out? We may have to do that this summer for a family member's Celebration of Life.

If it was just for a short amount of time we would leave it at RV park. Some RV parks specifically mention not to do this so just watch for that.

There is something wrong with modern society when a family can't exist on one money earner and the other partner raises the kid/s vs. warehousing them.
