@@frankinsaneandmyrrh1202 You absolutely need to watch it. I'll tell you what happened, but spoilers(?) I can't even call them spoilers, which is why it's so funny. You'll get the Meta if you watch it. But basically, Chanse parodies an impression of Amanda, and Angela parodies an impression of Shayne. And they basically cocktease (couldn't think of a more fitting word) the audience about whether or not Shayne and Courtney got married. Mind you this premiered ON April 1st, after the initial pictures, when everyone still didn't know what was going on. So viewers could chat about what was going on, and they were all losing their collective goddamn minds, because no one could believe anything from anybody anywhere, because it was April 1st. And Angela and Chanse were only muddying the waters with their little teases, that came close to ALMOST, *MAYBE*, _POSSIBLY_ confirming something, but never did. And, yet the viewers _had_ to continue to watch if they wanted any hope of any sort of confirmation that Shayne and Courtney were married. But at the same time, the smart ones knew that they would have to wait to the very end for the confirmation. If it came at all. SPOILERS: It didn't. LOL So yeah, it only added to everything happening that day. And I can sit there and laugh, because I only found out everything April 2nd, but going back into posts from that day has been hilarious. But boy, was I blindsided. I totally treated them like my relationship with my own best friend. So I never saw it coming. What clued you in?

this is like unintentional evidence of just how much each side of the dating world really just...can't fathom that the others' experience is genuinely as bad as it is. Shane's sitting there and like 'what your AfRaId of a HuG? whaaaa' and Courtney is like 'why are you so afraid that an angry mob will chase you? just for asking for a number' and yet the fear of both experiences is so common its trope level. just...really speaks volumes tbh that these close friends are still sitting here in any level of disbelief in the fact that these situations are real fears that can hold someone back this much.

I'm completely putting myself out here and I know how cringe worthy this can be. I'm definitely that awkward yet funny and outgoing person. Who is so socially awkward when dating, its EMBARRASSING. Confident until that point. It breaks my heart to know people like Shayne who is gorgeous in SO many ways- I'm not even speaking on physical aspects. He is seriously one of my favorite comedians and actors, he seems sincere, genuine, down to Earth, and Humble. They have talked about how it was their idea since they were no longer under Defy and had more control. Which is what makes me think that they were not dating at this point. Just genuinely re-evaluating and self-reflecting and re-prioritizing.

The defy shutdown (with new company rules and having to band together), the graduation, the tour and australia, Courtneys cancer-scare and then the pandemic. It's like the perfect concotion of "perspective shifting events" and close proximity and downtime.
