I really hope there’s another booster course pass just for toad’s factory, GBA rainbow road, and wuhu loop. I’d really like to see those courses remade in the Mario Kart 8 style!

I could see 3 waves for 2024 with 24 more tracks moving it up to 120. They have the content in MK Tour to make this happen. Also it would kill time for a new installment on the Switch 2 in 2025.

I have to be really honest, I think 96 tracks in Mario Kart 8 is enough.

Maybe Waves 7 and beyond, if they are to be a thing, could just focus on the Battle Courses and additional characters & costumes instead of having even more race tracks. The BCP’s doubling the amount of courses in the base game, so it would only make sense to double the amount of every other major aspect of the game (N64 Block Fort, DS Twilight House, 150cc & 200cc Battle Mode speeds, any remaining Tour-exclusive characters).

Seems like the best opportunity to add the arcade tracks imo

Assuming the "Big five" (Funky, Pauline, Diddy, Petey, Kamek) characters are added to the first booster course pass that means that the next four could be King Bob-Omb, Wiggler, Dixie, and R.O.B. This is just speculation/my hopes though. As long as King Bob-Omb is in, I'll be happy.

I hope there will be another booster course pass, any and all add-ons to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe are a complete necessity, especially on the adventure-packed big screen.

if a bcp 2 does happen i dont think there would be any tour tracks tbh, they’re putting all of those out in the current bcp so its likely it could just be retro tracks from the other games, which would be a huge W edit: mac… vanilla lake isn’t coming in the bcp, it’ll definitely be snes bowser’s castle 3 lol

Great video! One minor nitpick is that SNES Bowser Castle 3 is all but confirmed for Wave 5 or 6 due to the insane remake it got, which includes an obvious anti-gravity section. Vanilla Lake would be one I'd like to see in a BCP 2 though!

I just want more battle courses. Maybe do DLC on that.

While I don't think this is going to happen, I would LOVE to see it! Speaking of the DLC, it's been forever since we got a wave, and I am praying that the wii track in wave 5 is Koopa Cape.

Swift Jar made a really interesting video about leaks. I saw Rio potentially being a new City Track. Also, rumoured tracks coming to Tour include N64 Moo Moo Field, Wii Moonview Highway, GCN Mushroom City and a few others I could not remember

Since they've been adding in a few extras alongside each wave release as of recent (wave 3 being custom items and wave 4 being new characters and stat buffs) I would absolutely love to see a reverse option like in Mario Kart Tour. Make it it's own engine class like mirror mode and that's be fantastic. The reverse mode I can see happening since it probably doesn't take much effort to do other than adding in ramps to places that would need them (and possibly reworking the city track's routes a bit). They could also add in trick variants and reverse trick variants to the courses, but that would probably take more effort. If they did add them, I'd like them to do it in the style of courses that mess around with the layouts, like Kalimari Desert where they go over the mountain in the center of the track

I hope it happens! While the track selection in this pass was amazing, there’s still some more fan favorites I’d like to see. And honestly, MK8’s physics are already perfect for me, adding new stuff just seems like a slam dunk. I know some people would prefer a MK9 sooner, I would like it too, but, I don’t know. We don’t even know how far in production it is, if it even is in production. I’d rather wait and let them cook with that game, and enjoy racing in the awesome courses in MK8, the more the better in my eyes

I know it's late but I was thinking for the spiny cup in wave 6 we could have: (GBA) Rainbow Road (GCN) Rainbow Road (DS) Rainbow Road (WII) Rainbow Road. It would make the most sense to me to have those four in the game since we already have all the other Rainbow Roads

Well more than 48 courses after BCP1 is done will be left. Not to mention the continuing release of city tracks. They could also sell vehicle parts for .75 each like they did with SSB Mii outfits. DK Stadium and Twilight house should be added with two new maps for battle courses.

Something else I would love to see as well as new courses, battle courses, items and characters in the booster course pass 2 is new karts, bikes, wheels and gliders. I think we need more variety in terms of cool karts

I can imagine that the BCP 2 would have its first wave come out in March 2025 (like Wave 1 of the BCP coming in March 2022) then go throughout 2025 with a new wave every 2 to 3 months, if that’s the case.

I think if they make a 2nd they should put in one of every snes theme. Ghost Valley, koopa beach, etc.

Tbh i dont think a second booster course will come now- but if there is another mario kart on the next system whatever it is, i wouldnt be surprised if they did do the same thing on that mario kart. An DLC later on

I want another booster course, but for battle courses, 8 returning battle tracks to make the mode feel as fleshed out as the main racing mode is. Marie they could also add shine runners or balloon battle with the elimination stile as well.and as the final part of this update the feather item would finally get into the main item selection if Mario kart 8. It wouldn’t be that useful, but it it would be funny.

What if we get one character per wave in both passes, there are 5 current empty slots, this could mean 3 extra waves , 2 characters in the original pass , 3 for 3 new waves

If we do get a second pass, there is a real opportunity for brand new tracks (maybe 1 per cup) to make the roster. You got the list down to 27. Tour's not over yet either. it could get more tracks. in fact, it would only need 3 more track remakes, for a full 6 more cups. However i do not expect an announcement for booster pass 2, until Mario Kart 8 DX + for whatever the new hardware is they're likely to release next year.

The only confirmation we need will come when wave 6 releases and we have all the tour tracks in mk8dx. And Nintendo releases a new tour track.

If they did add in new items, I feel like they'd have to come in an update alongside the pass and not exclusive to it, since leaving items behind a paywall would be a weird thing to do. Also for items I'd love to see, I would want the ice flower and the mega mushroom the most (but with the song too like in Wii)

2nd Booster course should be Battle stages. Players barely play Battle mode anymore.

Honestly? I think it's too much but I also think it's gonna happen because the background on the cup rings is gold on the first one, silber on the new dlc and probably then bronze on the dlc that is to come.

If they do another BCP, then this calls for more tracks to come. One track I was really disappointed in was DS Airship Fortress, because it’s one of my favorites.

If they’re doing more waves, I’m pretty sure they’d be battle courses and included in the original pass.

As far as battle courses go, I'd love to see Double Deck from N64 as it's a pretty underrated course and the battle course from N64 not to be brought back in a later game.

I don't think we will get more racing tracks in a second booster course pass. We are getting to a point where it has a possibility to harm a future mario kart game (why buy a new console for a game with less than half of the tracks on this mario kart game?) Here's what I think is happening: New Nintendo console announced in October-December Time alongside game upgrades similar to the next gen upgrades on the Series XS and PS5 (Likely options being Mario kart, Pokemon, Zelda...) Mario kart gets a graphics update on the booster course pass courses and slight lighting updates to the original 48. Alongside character skins (golden koopa, cat bowser, etc...) and 4-8 new battle courses. With a release around March time next year, but maybe later. This would be to get people to buy the new console so that when they inevitably release their next new mario kart, it's more likely people are to buy it. Already have the console so why not... This would also explain the bare bones release schedule of games coming out. Plus ending on a new mario game would be a great way to end the switch's life cycle (mario wonder)

I’m ok with whatever Nintendo does, but It would be cool if we saw another booster course pass. We would have the potential for this Mario kart to have every retro/tour track in existence. Making this Mario kart more like a Mario Kart legacy.

The only things I want to see in the new wave is new items and I want those 2 items slots being mega mushroom and ice flower cause I miss the mega shroom especially in Wii with the voice changer being deeper when using mega shroom in the Wii version of Mario kart
