Years ago my husband was having trouble with being hit on by women when he travelled for work. He hadn't been wearing his wedding ring because it did not fit him anymore so we bought him a new simple gold band, thinking women would leave him alone if they saw it. It's hard to believe, but the women were worse! He was hit on more than ever. It was very disturbing.

While my wife is pushing for a divorce, I wear my ring when I’m not working and out in public.Actually I have my ring on a carabiner along with my keys when I’m at work.it is a reminder to me that I am married to my estranged wife.

Good topic! My spouse not wore his for almost a whole month the longest he ever not wore it. I believe you both should wear your wedding bands why not?? So it bothered me when he didn’t. Excuses he’ll make so I stayed quiet🙏🏽

FYI- There are some valid reasons for not wearing a wedding ring and it has nothing to do with fidelity or commitment. We do not wear our rings or ANY jewelry at work (Aviation Maintenance & Operations)....and while deployed downrange we would often "Sanitize" ourselves for OpSec....do not give the enemy any advantages or intel...

I love ur podcast and really enjoy the topics that u discuss. Really appreciate u taking the time to help us all with our marriage. My husband always wears his wedding ring and still ended up having an affair. He swears he never took it off. So it makes me so angry that there are women out there that don’t take marriage seriously or care that a man is married. I love wearing my rings and am proud to wear them. I have always held marriage up high and holy. I too, like ur Grammy, look at someone’s hand to see if they are married. I feel that a wedding ring is a sign that someone is taken and they are off the market! However, some people don’t think that way. I totally agree that there are people out there that are attracted to married men, like u said, maybe they feel it’s a challenge?!?! I told my husband that it is like a double edge sword - part of me feels special enough that he never took his ring off when he was with his affair partner, but the other part of me feels like it is a slap in the face, that I didn’t mean enough to him that he kept his ring on and still had an affair. I had to take his ring from him and replace it with another ring bc the ring he had was a constant reminder that I wasn’t enough to prevent him from having an affair. I gave him that ring when we renewed our vows on our 10th anniversary. We are almost 4 years out from his affair, and it is still hard, but we are working on rebuilding our marriage. Please keep up the good work and helping me stay sane. God Bless u both, u are amazing!!

My husband of 13 years (High School Sweethearts & gave each other our virginity) and father to our 4 children kept his ring on during his affair also. But he didn't want to work it out because he was "in love". That was back in 2013. So we're divorced now. I feel your pain and understand why you needed him to have a new ring. God bless our broken hearts

Tootie thank u for ur response, I’m sorry that u ended up in divorce. My marriage is still hanging by a thread and there were times, that I didn’t know of, during his affair that he talked about us divorcing. I look back now and realize that those words were during his affair. He says he was never going to divorce me, even told his affair partner the whole time that she was only borrowing him and that he was never going to leave me. However, saying those words to me, makes me feel that at one point during his affair, he truly did think about leaving me for her!! Why else would he have said those things to me?!?! We have gone thru an affair recovery program and are still doing work to salvage our marriage, he has a bad temper, so that is not helping. We have a son together; the affair happened when our son was 14. Even tho he is now 18, he still lives at home with us and is going to college. I’m still not sure if my marriage is worth saving any more, but it is so hard to leave when our son still lives at home. He has gone thru enough with the knowledge of his fathers affair and his temper (never taken out on my son, just me). I feel that if I divorced my husband now, it would only cause more heartache for our son.

@@rg516 if I knew then what I know now I would have done things so much differently. I didn't know Jesus like i do now back then and made so many mistakes. The key is in the Bible. Read and pray and fast on all the chapters it talks about how a believing wife is to be. My marriage i have now is so much worse than my 1st. BUT I firmly believe what God puts together on Earth no one should separate. And with that firmly in place, I give all control of my marrige to Jesus. My current husband is full of anger, rage, and bitterness at times. The only time he gets better is when I remember to let go and let God take control. Hold on to ZERO bitterness, and COMPLETELY FORGIVE your husband. I promise you, his anger will go away and you will have such a happy marrige. It starts with you. Once your husband see the change in you he will come around. Check out Jimmy Evans on KZfaq. He is an excellent pastor who deals in marrige counseling too. It seems unfair and like the one who cheats should be the one to fix things but they are the one in the most spiritual danger. If your husband were closer to God he'd of never cheated. Pray for him and bless your husband every single day even when he is angry and hateful. Bless him and YOU will be blessed. I hope and pray for healing for both of you.

Tootie thank u again. We actually do watch Jimmy and Karen Evans all the time - Pretty sure me more so than my husband. I do pray for my husband, and for God to heal his pain and anger that he holds within himself. I pray for God to heal and restore our marriage, I also pray God helps me heal from the pain of my husbands affair. I am just constantly walking on egg shells to when the next blow up will be. Doesn’t matter what I say or do, I’m in the wrong. Either I said something wrong, or it was the way I said it. I usually pray before I try talking to my husband about my feelings. For God to give me the courage, wisdom and right words to say. We typically end up in a huge fight......then I just shut down and give up. 😢 I will continue to pray and we will continue with counseling.....just seems like everything is dependent upon his moods. Thanks again for all ur advice. ❤️

@@rg516 our husbands could be twins. I go through the exact same thing. EXACTLY the same. However, my current husband's problem is drug and porn addiction. When I met him it was 4 years after my divorce from my cheating husband who left me and our 4 kids 5 years old and younger and I was so lonely I didn't wait to get to know him well enough. Well 3 years later now and its been the most horrible relationship you can imagine. Im severely depressed and barley holding on hope for anything. So the words I spoke to you really came from my heart and from a place I can really relate to you. I've been through Hell and back and the only good thing thats come out of all this is, its forced me to get to know Jesus. I think that's why I'm going through it all. To save me, my kids, and hopefully my husband. So, I hope I didn't step on your toes. I really just felt so much compassion for you because I know that pain. Its horrible. And God will use drastic measures to get us on our knees and he will break us to get us back to Him. Anyway, just know you're not alone and I've already been praying for you guys.

My wife (married 4 1/2 years) stopped wearing her rings about 2 years ago. She claimed about a year and a half ago that she had gained “COVID weight” and they wouldn’t fit. I thought nothing of it at the time. I found out in September of last year that she had been having a 9 month long affair. That affair continued for 4 more months after I found out. We have a lot of problems in our relationship that lead to that point that we still need to work through with counseling. Through it all I have continued to wear my ring and honor my commitment to our marriage. She has since lost the weight she gained during COVID and continues not to wear her rings. I sent this video to her (along with many of Dave and Ashley’s videos). This channel, along with faith in God, has helped me so much through this tough season of our marriage. Thank you!

Going through a pending divorce, I've never, ever taken off my ring. Some people rebel against God's word, and I get it. But unless I see a final judgement, I'm not single-minded though there are others in this story who are living like it. That said, I've been hit-on this past Summer (aggressively) while still wearing my ring. Some people don't care and demons are out there hunting and I've refused every advancement made on me easily and effortlessly. Pretty girl too. I remained and still remain faithful, as I've always had. My ring is to signify that a covenant was made and covenants with God and before God are unbreakable. He said in His word what He put together let not man put asunder. Anyone who attempts to do so is unsaved. My loyalty is not based on emotions or feelings. It's based on covenantal obligation and agreement.

Wedding rings goes all way back to babylons, its a symbol of their gods eternal snake of life. Yes wedding rings are rooted in pagan gods, along with weddings and even the steeple of the church has pagan. roots It represents eternal life, (think snake and the women in the garden) they would place it on ther left hand and ring finger cause its the artery closes to the heart. Both the veil and the weddong flower crowns are of frigg odens wife. She wears the crown of flowers and veil. She is a goddess who represents sex, love, beauty, fertility, war, gold and desires. Sounds firmiliar? should. Does eve and the serpent ring a bell? Finally lets nick pick the wedding dress. Despite the popular myth it does not represent a girls purity. Rather it represents power wealth and fame. It all started when Queen Elizabeth during the Victorian era decided to have a wedding gown along with her cake made of white. Materials to make it, was costly only wealth can afford it. Keeping the gown clean was next to impossible. Ladies would buy nice outfit for wedding day and continue wear it to church gatherings. It wasnt till early 1940s when wedding magazines came.about amd pushed the dress. And it wasnt till after WW2 men started to wear those pagan ungodly rings.

As far as rings goes, rubles and sapphire gems were used for wedding rings. So as for me i wont wear the rings for 2 reasons 1) paganism 2) tje metal literary breaks me out. I have allergoc reaction to it.
