Why you can't build very well in Minecraft

3 ай бұрынIn this video I share some thoughts about why we feel the need to build cool and pretty things in Minecraft. It's a survival game of course but I explored how that isn't the full picture. We feel like building pretty things because we can, because it's fun, and because Minecraft is really a sandbox game who's enjoyment comes from creativity rather than strictly surviving.
I tried not to overthink the editing or go over the top in order to get this video uploaded, so any feedback on whether or not you'd like more or less would be appreciated!
I don't own any of the footage I showed of youtube videos other people have made btw. I hope I made that clear. Everything else is my own.

I really enjoyed this video! As someone who loves playing Minecraft, I’ve always wondered why we spend so much time building houses. But now it makes sense - it’s all about creativity and expression! The sandbox nature of Minecraft allows us to unleash our imagination and turn chaos into something beautiful. And you’re right, practicing by following tutorials and emulating others is a great way to improve our building skills. Keep up the great content!

I still build as people did in 2012 let's play videos. Nothing too big, just something that I am proud of, looks decent and is efficient for survival.

As someone whose building is straight ass, i appreciate the video, practice makes perfect, so from now on, i'll start doing my stuff instead of enslaving my builder friend to do it for me.
