Exactly!!!! The things they say and their warped interpretation of things leaves you completely speechless and actually questioning yourself because it's so out there. The latest for me was I asked what I was doing one weekend and I said that my best friend...(completely platonic)...was in town and we were going to dinner. Her: "I can't believe the f@@#ed up things you say to me! You were going on and on about spending time with him" (I did not go on and on). She then followed up with "I know you're not interested in men, but that's not the point." That started months long of "punishment" from her.

TRUTH!! 1000%. There is NO reaching them. No matter how nice you say something, how genuine you are being, in how many different ways you TRY desperately to explain something or offer a solution, how much evidence you present, it does not matter. After 18 years I got to leave by my angels helping. Ex hubby said same thing. “I never did anything wrong- I never said anything bad about you” I told him oh, my kids heard you, my friends, your friends. Nope putting me down and making fun of me and calling me names behind my back wasn’t wrong at all. That’s how you treat your wife and the mother of your kids- sure ok. F off buddy. 😂

This video fully explains why in my marriage I spent 20 years banging my head against a brick wall, I became increasingly exasperated and infuriated because it made no sense to me that the more I tried to help my wife, the more she hated me. The fact that they need help makes them feel inadequate and inferior which they will not tolerate so they feel suppressed hostility to the person who is helping them. The more you help them, the more they hate you. They are incapable of appreciating or respecting other people because they feel invalidated by giving validation to anyone other than themselves. They will not ask for help, instead they put you in a position where you step in and help them, they behave as if they are doing you a favor by letting you help them, then they silently hate you for helping them. They cannot change so there is no solution. Helping narcissists is a trap that they set for you so DO NOT HELP narcissists.

But whether you do or do not inform the narc of your prayers, Jesus saves! Thank you Lil Shamen. As much as truth offends the narc, maybe just maybe your understanding can penetrate the crust and plant a seed of recovery. I am no contact but send prayers of recovery to my narc sisters. (They can't stand to be seen as wrong)-And yet they're almost always wrong about everything they say! For various reasons-because they're oppositional/defiant, so they have to disagree with everything you say; because they seem to completely fail at understanding basic everyday physics like that heat makes things expand and cold makes them contract; because they love to believe in bizarre theories rather than learn about the way things actually work; because they engage in magical thinking so frequently. Ok, actually many of these probably boil down to the first one honestly-they refuse to agree with people because they love to argue. So they find themselves disagreeing with things you know are true, like that the sun is up in the day and down at night.

Yep. It's such nonsense, really. So unnecessary. And they say, "Nobody is wrong all the time! I can't be wrong all the time!" Exactly! This is something that a lot of people are going to have to do or they'll wind up suffering through this torment. Also, when you get the chance, can you please do a video/podcast on toxic stubbornness. Stubbornness is the reason why many people with personality disorders or just toxic people are so hard to deal with & making them controlling & abusive. Thank you for sharing this video love. Just like you said in your previous videos, if you don't want people to leave you, then stop abusing them. That goes for anyone. It's okay to help them when they do the work & actually try, but when you see the total opposite, it's just a waste of time. Many blessings to you.👏👏💛🌻😘

That adds even more clarity to the last day my brother was in my house. I think he felt he had to leave because he realized he was wrong and couldn't admit it. Thought it was so he could move home, closer to the new chemotherapy. Thought the blow up was because he was wrong. He went into total rage and screaming at me over absolutely nothing. It was scary. I was petrified. When he realized he was wrong he went totally silent. Even that was scary. Silent with balled fists and veins popping out on his head, neck and face. But just realized that's probably why he left, too. Couldn't face that he was wrong.
@HeyMykee

Yep-narcissistic rage. When my friend does that (any time I force him to see that he's wrong about something) he'll turn away so I can't see the pure rage on his face. @@HeyMykee It was all over his pillowcases. I always did his laundry. I was his caregiver. He didn't like softener so I always did his separately so no softener was on his clothes or bedding. He wasn't allergic, he just didn't like it. He started raging at me that I was trying to murder him. It was so loud I was even afraid the neighbors were going to call the police. I kept telling him I would never cause him harm. He just kept yelling bloody murder, literally. Then he finally let me know of my murder weapon. Fabric softener on his pillowcases. 😲 I said, "the pillowcases I just washed in the new detergent you asked me to buy and try on your bedding? There is no softener on them, Just the new detergent you wanted me to use." He went totally silent. I was in shock! Then he left. He only lived about a month longer in his own home with his grown son. All the years he was in my house he was being treated for stage four pancreatic cancer. I still drove up regularly to see him and help out with his medications. I was with him the day and night before he passed away. Got the call in the morning. He was very abusive all the time he was with me. He even had me sleeping on the floor for quite a while for his convenience (or entertainment). My sister had to intervene. He'd even said three times, "I'm not planning on murdering you." Out of the blue. Not in context with anything. I was so shocked he'd say the things he said. I would just freeze. But, he had the trump card in my brain. I'd already been groomed as the perfect supply by my male parent so I easily succumbed to his trump card. My brother had cancer. He was younger than I by two years. My heart broke for him. I was fully disabled but he had cancer. I'll be 70 in a few months and I've been narc free for just about five years now. I've been fully enmeshed from birth until I was 65. At least when my brother came on the scene there, blessedly was no SA. That was all with my male parent. And he had passed away years earlier. But the psychological narcissistic manipulation was amped up with my brother because he could use his cancer. I'm finally U & A (Untouched (finally) & Alive). Yes, that's what my screen name stands for.

I have gone back and forth as to whether or not my late husband was narcissistic or whether he adapted some traits due to his mother being highly narcissistic. I know it doesn’t matter at this point, not really. He had managed himself and done a lot of work, and our marriage improved. But, for my one sanity, I want to fully understand before I move forward with my life. I’ve researched this for years, and it’s so hard to say, but I think he was one. I think he worked really hard to hide it, and got better at that over the years. I got better at either being who he wanted, or not caring when he punished me for not being who he wanted. We were married 20 years. The whole thing is just tragic. I hurt for both of us.

Thanks again Little Shaman. Doing a visualization exercise on this to keep myself in check. When trying to help, I was spun out in chaos because I was always doing things as a people pleaser that did not quite agree with my true self. It was like being cut in half. Not being two people, but one person cut in two by the Devil's forked tongue. I've dissected the people pleaser away and have laid her to rest. Like removing a tumor. When anything like this comes up I remind myself that the version of myself that would have engaged with that type of insanity has been laid to rest. She is as dead as a door nail. Now the rest of me is one whole agreeing person who would do, or not do (whatever is working now). Sending brief and polite no responses to the abusers to avoid being called a ghosting narc by them. That fork tongue is so smooth. Lots of Narcs out there who know enough about it to call others the same. Avoid the fork tongued mirror blight!!!!

Omg so true, just had a backward blaming match with my 17 yr old, he used to b protective over me his mom, and when I was losing my mind due to yrs of abuse by his dad I admit I wasn't my best, but dear old dad popped up after being gone for a few yrs, and got us kicked out of our home, and ever since my son been talking to his dad behind my back which was instigated by his toxic girlfriend who had to control my son, my life is falling apart and not one of them can care less, my teen has turned on his mother and now acts just like his dad, its awful cuz everything iv taught him he now uses the good on outsiders while at home he berates, lies, manipulates and hates his own mother, I gave up everything to raise him while dear ol dad lived as a single married man deceiving me the whole time and now that my son is raised all his monkeys are gaining up on and treating me as if I don't deserve anything, yet they both act like the victim its a horrific thing to b a part of, iv literally lost everything due to the monster I married

And I've seen so many abusers turn on a dime. Become best friends with those they were so recently abusing.

I understand..have adult child whose spouse turned them against us(parents) took grandchildren away and only deal with his side of the family….it’s so hurtful, you do your best, raise them, love them and they turn on you. Time I believe will change things, his dad can only keep his mask on for so long and your son will see it as he matures, I hope. Hang in there🤗

I have gained so much clarity from listening to you for the past two years! I know it is something that I have to work on daily but I am feeling the shift and protecting my energy these days which is huge! Thank you Little Shaman! You are a blessing to us all who are willing to do the work! It’s amazing how all the wisdom you teach finally starts to sink in and we finally start to get it! I go back and listen to certain videos that are helpful just to keep myself grounded! It is a long journey but one that is so worth it!

And I quote : "I need you to apologize to me so that I can feel better." - My mother after court told her some information that isn't to her benefit. Mind you we were in court because she took me to court over my children.

The ex narcissist would never take accountability for their actions. Would constantly make a war out of everything & impossible to come to a peaceful understanding. Very draining & toxic people. Run & don’t look back!!

This is God doing it because I have these problems and it’s all subconscious- read up on reprobate minds in the bible. We narcs can’t control it. God is doing it.
