Very good (and often overlooked) point. Developing match play skills is like strength training. You have to stress your muscles in order to make them stronger.

@@AndreiBgatov we will be doing a session today in our mentoring webinar with our members around why performance doesn’t translate from practice. But in short create pressure based scenarios as much as possible in training. Eg start games at 30-30 Or deuce. Play with a penalty on the losing player. Create pressure scenarios so that the players learn to cope with them prior to match day.
