Don’t rely on motivation, have discipline and stay consistent. Buy into the process, whatever it may be. Instead of focusing on one broad subject to improve on, instead break it up and make small goals to work on daily. Don’t forget to rest your body, and occasionally have some fun.

While I'm here, I just wanted to say that, You have feelings that everyone shares, and you are not alone. Don't let others or different videos make you feel that you are not living a good life. Take a second to ask yourself if you are happy, if you answered yes, then that's great news. If no, then try to surround yourself with good people and stay off your phone as much as possible. And most people feel unsafe doing these things and that's because they are addicted to comfort and will get withdrawal symptoms. If you feel unsafe or weird changing things, then please talk to a psychiatrist and they will help more than you know. Being alone and in your head might hurt you in the long run.

I used to be a competitive swimmer when I was younger, we trained during winter at 5 am in a military swimming pool filled with cold water. Every morning, as a kid, I was cold, sleepy, and hated cold water so I always waited til the last second to enter the pool. One time my trainer told me "You can wait all you want, but you'll eventually will have to enter if you want to train. Just jump and start swimming, don't think". Becoming an adult is scary and I can easily overthink everything, but I'm trying to jump into the pool and start swimming one day at a time.

The feeling of control makes people feel comfortable and safe, however it does not work at all when a person can not control things in their life, eg disease, relationship breakup. Also remember that anything you write is worth being written poorly. Just keep writing drafts on drafts until you reach a final product that’s at least not as bad as the other drafts. Even if that isn’t good, just do another. Eventually you’ll get better and find a flow state with your craft like it’s second nature. Good luck ⚡️

I see why people might see that as egocentric, like you stated in the beginning, but I lived my own life as a side character to everyone I met and I've been miserable. And I didn't even get back something in return. People let you down betray, neglect and abandon you all the time. I don't think one should be totally egoistic (hell we've got enough of those individuals) but definitely make yourself a priority :/

I’m currently reading “The Artist’s Way” by Julia Cameron. I agree with what you said about reading every self-help book and not actually doing. I used to be stuck in this cycle. What I like about this book is that it’s more of a workbook that makes you do. I’m only on chapter 2 and I’ve seen huge improvement so far. Perhaps when I’m done I’ll check out the war of art, if I’m not too consumed with doing at that point. LOL. But I think everyone Experience is some type of “writers block” And sometimes books like that can help to get you going. But I agree, the most effective thing is doing and taking action.

Whether this "works" all depends on what your deepest intention is. If you want to take shots in a foreign country while speaking fluently with locals in their language, that's an intention that will align quite well to this philosophy. Been there, done that. Though the feeling behind that experience is important. What are you intending to feel? Why? Who/what does it serve? Other intentions may require an attitude of letting go, surrendering. For example: the intention to awaken to who you truly are. You may find a very different path is required for that intention's fulfillment. Neither intention is "better" than the other, but knowing what philosophies align to what you're after is helpful. Thanks for the video. It got me thinking.

@@ColeHastings of course, and thanks for that! I thought it'd be worth mentioning as I've done some life and business coaching in my day, in addition to constantly working on myself, and the phenomenon of worldview has been particularly important to navigating that. As I'm sure you know, our worldview filters advice and philosophy as "good," "bad," helpful, or even destructive. The worldview and intentions of one person can make a specific piece of advice "bad" or "good," while the opposite is true for someone else. It's all relative, to a certain degree. It's cool that you document your exploration of philosophies and approaches to life. It'll be interesting to see where you're headed 5-10 years down the line. You seem like a transformational person, which suggests to me that you'll probably have a lot of "metamorphoses" through your journey. That's something I can actively relate to (as in: it's still happening). Keep doing your great work!!

Spot on. As someone setting up a smallholding to grow fruit and veg at a small scale, it's about doing rather than thinking about doing, or watching videos about how to do. Sure, there's some disciplines where just diving in could result in costly mistakes without a bit of upfront planning, but most things it seems it's best to just make a start and figure it out from there.

This breakup from a month ago was a turning point in me. I see what i did wrong, and i wasnt wise enough. But I also see how she failed me when I was at my lowest, when it even wasnt my fault (serious injury after car accident). And being left alone while not being able to take care of yourself, i wish that to no one. This guys videos helped me coming to peace with my love life. And lots of other videos told me what i need to know to go, and live my life and improve for my sake. The hardest advice to take is to stop watching self help videos so obsessively. For the most of my life problem wasn't not thinking and not knowing, but not doing. I will try my best to do, to act, to make mistakes and learn from them. Instead of always asking myself and others if stuff are good or not. And, maybe sometimes later, i can help someone to live their life.

Would love to see a video about the "shiny object syndrome", in the context of chasing to many things at a time / strategy hopping and so on. This would help a lot!. Love your videos, I am glad i've found your channel. Already implemented some changing things in my life, not just watching :) Keep Going, you are a legend!:)

I pretty much accepted the fact that I'm not the protagonist of my story. I'm not even a supporting character. I'm just am extra. I am not special and was never meant to be special. If I were to die tomorrow, no one would care; I'm just simply cannon fodder for my 3-2 job. And to think that I can ever accomplish any of my dreams or goals, especially in this day and age, is just wishful thinking. Any step I take is always a misstep. And that's the truth of my life. I was never meant to be anyone special.

You are still lucky to have dreams and goals
@oblivious108

@@tamaraberchuk454 Why do you say that? What good are dreams and goals if they will never be manifested? Let me give the opposing thought some incentive: yes, if you work, study, practice, work on your craft, etc., yes you CAN achieve your dreams or goals, but it doesn't mean that you WILL achieve your dreams and goals. There's not a guarantee that your agency will get you to your desired conclusion when the entire universe is filled with other agencies that may inhibit, maybe even stop you from reaching your goals. What good are dreams and goals then?
