Bulgaria is just hands-down the most fun nation to play in Kaiserreich. Zveno-Yugo is fun, but I personally prefer the Third Empire hidden focus tree route.

Are any of those paths in KX as well?

@@FreedomPuppy I think Bulgaria has some extra formables in KX that are pretty fun (for example Volga Bulgaria), however there isnt really any point doing Bulgarian Yugoslavia in KX as it is already in base KR, which has more advanced AI, better balanced, less bugs, faster game speed, and better if you want to larp/RP Bulgaria in Kaiserreich is pretty cool, there are several other fun paths such as Third Bulgarian Empire, Balkan Union, and the Legionary Reclamation (lose Balkan War, get Legionnaires in power, come back and defeat Belgrade Pact, very challenging path)

IIRC they retconned it because the devs deemed it to not really make sense. It made the border less defensible and dealing with the potential resistance (since unlike Alsace-Lorraine it wasn't germanic at all so Germany had no real claim to the area beyond imperialism) wouldn't be worth it for what the land had to offer.

My trick at Sand France or the Kemalist Ottomans is to not bother with occupation laws: just put it to no occupation. As Sand France, all those countries are worthless, just wait until they revolt, send in like 2 infantry divs to cap them, rinse and repeat. For the Ottomans, similar thing: don't bother with occupation, since all the arabs revolt anyway, just focus on building up the army to beat the arabs down when they do revolt.

Me who has played Ireland before and sometimes the pain you get when you conquer Northern Ireland is pain. As well as the fact of declaring war on the allies. Tbf. Road to 56 Ireland is much better and more fun to play. And I’ve heard that it is quite good in kaiserriech or kaiserrefux. Probably another nation of pain that I’ve experienced is probably Tannu Tuva or Liberia.
